Yes, I was getting ready to go to college, working at a grocery store, going out to the clubs every night, except when that hot new show Friends came on...I wore very short skirts...and read Sassy magazine but, it was getting sorta lame by that time...
I listened to Blind Melon/Greenday/Nirvana/Pearl Jam/NIN and cried over Kurt and River...and then I went the other way and listened to Counting Crows, Hootie, Oasis and Cake...
and wiped my Lisa Loeb glasses while I listened to Stay and said, "yeah, she really understands what it's like for a grrl!" And then found records by Tori and Liz Phair
And talked to the alt.music newsgroups and bbs on the new thing called the information superhighway...

Hmmm, good question, what was I doing back then? I think that was the year the I moved from New York to Florida. Been here in Florida ever since. Learned that guys dont like to keep long distance friendships going, but women will keep a friendship to the death. I am still in touch with every woman I was ever close to in New York, and it has even grown by a few as women who I just saw on occasion as friends of other friends are now my friends and chat with me.

I had broken up with my college boyfriend and got my own apartment. it was the greatest place! I had my cat, my lop eared bunny, my hamster, my frogs and newt and we all lived in this mid-century apartment house. All of my furniture was from the 60's. It was a swank pad! I began dating a psychotic drummer who was making TV appearances and traveling alot. It was a crazy time! It seems like yesterday AND a long time ago at the same time. Wouldn't go back there for the world, but am glad I experienced it all as it made me who I am today.

Oh, I remember all right. It was the dumbest time of my life. I was 22. I had been through a huge loss 4 years before, and still hadn't accepted it. I was self destructive, didn't care if I lived or died, didn't care who got hurt in the process.
Good times :(
Yeah, it was a million years ago. Thank God I moved through it, and came out better on the other side.

That was probably the best year of my life. I was 14 and a freshman in High School, the neighborhood was buzzing with excitement. Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg was the biggest hits. My favorite college team had the best starting five in history. Lowriders were in style, and skateboarding was a big thing to.
