I know there was a GPZ Turbo and maybe another Honda in the eighties but there haven't been many over the years. Is it because they already get ridiculous power from naturally aspirated engines?

The main reason is the power delivery isn't ideal for a bike. A turbo kicking in mid corner can make things interesting.

The power to weight ratio on motorcycles is already excellent. Adding a turbo would add more power than the bike could even put to the ground. It's pointless unless the bikes only purpse is drag racing. It also takes up space... something that motorcycles dont have alot of.

The power to weight ratio`s are very good and with a turbo more power will not help with normal road riding. With a turbo there are also heating problems specially when cruising speeds are low as in traffic.

Yep, you got it. Bikes can go so fast by themselves that turbo, NOS and other add-ons only improve straight line speed a little bit.

Besides, what the squids don't realize is that race bikes are made to RACE, which means leaning them over at 100mph on a track. In the real world of motorcycle racing improvements in chassis flex, suspension tuning and power delivery are more important than top speed.

The problem is the IQ to Horsepower ratio of too many "riders" these days.
Look at what goes on with those crotch rockets.
So much horsepower so little brain power = disaster.
You get tied of scrapping friends from the asphalt.

It is well established that high power bikes are too hard to handle in normal traffic we have enough deaths with motor bikes now all it will do if these are available will be to add to the death toll but what a way to go.~~
