similar to the guy above...we charge about $80 for a full set of sparring gear from tiger claw (it's $75 without a mouthpiece). we don't look to make money either...just need to cover shipping costs and such...20 bucks for mouth guard is crazy though...we pay 79 cents wholesale and charge the students 5 bucks (it gives them more incentive to not lose them :-P)...

You can expect to pay $20.00-28.00 for a set of hands or feet and a head gear for $35.00-40.00 and a mouth piece for $10.00-$25.00. Some gear is cheaper but you get what you pay for and also you may want to consider vinyl gear as opposed to soft foam gear. The vinyl gear holds up longer for kicking heavy bags and such. Also this type of gear is designed for light contact so if you are talking about full contact then a set of hands will be about double that and so will a decent head gear. Two companies that I have done extensive business with are Century Martial Arts and Tiger Claw; both of them are on the web. Most tournaments now allow vinyl gear as long as the fingers and toes are covered so buy gear that is not the open glove type like mixed martial arts uses.

It depends on the brand type. I agree with all the people above. Sadly I'm 12 and at my taekwondo school, I had to pay $150 for all of the gear.

From the front web page of the link you printed: SEPTEMBER 4, 2008 EDITORIAL - What might want to augment taxes on the midsection type, impose a heavy burden on small organisation, sluggish the economy and fee jobs? answer: Barack Obama's plan to develop the cap on earnings concern to the 12.4% Social safe practices tax. finished tale. end of quote. initially you quoted an editorial tale no longer a information tale. i will purely assume you get your information from Rush, invoice, Laura, Sean etc. those are opinion and editorial shows no longer information shows. Secondly...i might want to very almost kill for $102,000/year. If that's midsection type now then i'm a lengthy way less than the poverty line. a lengthy way less than it. in actuality if that almost $6000 in additional tax line (lie, even though it truly is an editorial...does no longer want to be real) were authentic my pay might want to very almost be reduce in 1/2.

I charge $75 for a full set of Century Student gear (head, hands, feet & chest). Century will charge you about about $150 for the same set... I don't really teach to make tons of money, as you can tell....

it depends on the type of gear. i get full sets of adidas gear for 65 and sell to my students for 100 but that includes cup, mouth piece, forearm, shin, separate instep, chest guard , and head gear. its good equipment but its definitely not top of the line.

my personal gear cost me around 200 because its Tekno which is top of the line.
