The book that finally convinced me that God was real was a book called 'In Six Days' Edited by John Ashton. It contains 50 essays written by qualified scientists, illustrating the scientific proof that God exists. I started reading it as an atheist and didn't agree with it. By the end I had to concede that there was just too much evidence and that there must be a God. I recommend you read it, it's only a book and you can disregard it once you've finished, but I found the scientific arguments too convincing to disregard.

Jesus was historical, and his resurrection is never refutted. Josephus, Tacitus, the Talmud and Pliny the Younger all describe a Jesus that was crucified by Pilot and who's followers believed was raised from the dead. The problem with their argument is that the tomb was empty. The tomb was a known location by the Jewish authorities, so if the early Christians were lying (or at the wrong tomb), they would have gladly pointed out the body. They couldn't so they said the disciples stole it. However, why would they die for a lie they made up themselves? And, how did over 500 people see Jesus walking, talking, eating and preaching for 40 days after he died the most horrific death imaginable? (Oops, that's Biblical, but it was written while these witnesses were still alive and could be questioned...)

The Bible is boring to you because you do not have the help of the Holy Spirit to make you understand it. It says so in the Bible too, but since you are so against it, I wont tell you what it says, but then again, you probably wouldnt understand it anyway.

Evidence? Go look in a mirror. Look at the trees outside and the flowers and the sun which shines upon you everyday. Do you eat? Look at the food you eat, the water you drink.

But thats not good enough evidence isnt it? Why not??

1. With your own eyes, that are intricately made, you see the writing here. But, how do you know I exist ? You have the words & avator, but you don't know who I am or if I exist. Ink is spilled out on pages, they form words, but who wrote the words, you know someone did, The words may even move you to great joy or great sorrow. To find the author you will have to do some digging to find out who spilled out the ink on the pages, when and why.
The wind blows across your face, you feel the breeze, but where did the wind come from , is it going to or from, up or down ? You feel it but you can not see it, yet you believe it is the wind.
God has given us the universe to explore & ask questions, all of creation testitfies, evidence abounds to a Intelligent Designer. Yet you having eyes do not see, ears & do not hear. Tangible evidence of God is all around, you choose not to believe the evidence that surrounds you. I am sorry you so easily believe in the wind, but not the maker of the wind.
I have met the Maker, I tell you He lives. I can not deny what I KNOW to be true. Seek the Lord with all your heart, and He will reveal Himself to you. Christianity is not for the faint of heart, it takes great courage to step out in Faith to believe, and to follow the Maker.I wouldn't have missed it for the world! Seek Him for yourself, you have everything to gain.

It's good that you're open to research. Peta mentioned "In Six Days" by John Ashton. It's an excellent place to start. You can also read books by Ralph O Muncaster (a former atheist), Lee Strobel (another former atheist), and Josh McDowell (yet another former atheist).
You can try these sites:

And there is so much more! Just look into it.

I don't believe there is any evidence I can present you with that will convince you. I think that YOU have to find the evidence to convince yourself. That's what I had to do, because no one could convince me that there was a God, or that the Bible was accurate.

I wish you the best of luck, and please keep us informed of how your journey is coming along!

Well, to answer the question I would have to cite a Scripture of a prophecy and then cite again in SECULAR history the fulfillment, but since you aren't willing to even consider the [many] prophecy(s) as recorded in the Bible, let alone the Scriptural and Secular proof of fulfillment you can do the digging yourself!

1) Cyrus named as God's Chosen one to conquer Babylon and return Jews to homeland 200 years before he was born.

2) The detail in which the prophecy was fulfilled.

Look it up!

If I remember correctly, after Jesus was 'nailed ' to the cross, died, and rose from the dead, he moved around quite a bit, appearing here and there, once appearing to His Apostles. Judas, of course was no longer part of the 'twelve' and Thomas was doing other things;Jesus spoke to the ten that were there and when Thomas returned he was told of the 'visit' by Jesus. Thomas replied to this by saying , "no way"! "Jesus is dead", continuing on, he said,"Hey, we know He was on the cross for three hours and died there, the Roman Guard even stuck a spear-point into His heart, water, not blood came from the wound". Thomas believed what he was saying....until several days later, Jesus once again appeared to His Apostles, asking Thomas to step forward.
Jesus opened His cloak revealing the opening in His flesh made from the spear-point the day of His Crufixation, asking Thomas to place his finger into the wound...Thomas basicaly said...I do not have to do that, I believe that You are who you say you are.
Doubting Thomas has been with us ever since and my only point here is centered around the word 'faith'. The simple word that gives us meaning and purpose in all that is good.
Common sense is in us all, for me to prove what I have not seen???????????????????

How do you propose that we show you evidence of Christ's existence? You want some DNA samples and fingerprints? Faith is not based on evidence, and that doesn't only refer to the Christian faith, but to all religions.

why should i have to show you proof?
you would have to come to that of your own conclusion.
besides even if i did show you actual proof and you still would not become christian...than what i did would be a waste of my time and effort.
you only see things from a logical standpoint not from the heart.

Objection! The bible is not evidence. I move to strike that assertion from the records, your honour.
