you should eat a protein based breakfast not all that sugar crap.
And yes it does work, just make sure you follow up with protein and lots of water after to build muscle there.

I have the same problem, i have gained 20 pounds of muscle within a month by increasing the size of my breakfast, and taking two protien shakes a day take one after working out in the morning, and one at night before bed. When working out you dont want to be hungry but you also shouldn't work out on a full stomach, i would suggest eating a cliff Bar first thing when you wake up.

If you are trying to gain weight/muscle you should eat some complex carbs 45 min. and about 30 grams of protein half an hour before you hit the weights prior to lifting in order to prevent muscle loss during the workout. Have at least 50 grams of protein immediately after. If your trying to gain muscle you have to reserve your calories and having a great metabolism means you have to eat alot more of the right foods. Not eating before working out in the morning is great if you want to loose weight, not gain it.

It makes a huge difference when you eat something before working out. By eating you are giving the body a source of energy to use, so you can work out at 100 percent. Weight training is no different than cardio in that respect. Both require energy to perform well. My only suggestion would be that you trash the Pop tarts, which are loaded with all sorts of processed sugars, and go for something more natural, like oats, orange juice, a piece of fruit, etc.

I'm in the U.S. Marine Corps, we always exercise before we eat breakfast and its been like that since 1775. It depends on how you push your body during. Normally we begin with a run that could be as long as 6 miles in which case I would NOT recommend eating. But in your case if your just going to the gym to lift and gain muscle tone or size, perhaps start off with a slim fast or equivalent (very high in protein) and then after your workout eat a balanced breakfast because as all our mothers told us as children "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day"

It's usually a good idea to wait at least 1 hour before doing exercises when eaten, this enable your stomach to actually have diluted some of the food, and hence make the burden a tad lighter, then other wise heavier when just eaten.
Also, some people tend to have cramps when doing exercises after eating, so you mileage may vary.

I do that too. I play soccer in morning. Just eat light cereals.
Have a 15 minute time for reading a newspaper. Use alarm if you want. Try to be focus on what you are reading until the alarm, so that you'll get mental training too. Then exercise after that. You can stay on your exercise for 3 hours, then cool down. Eat again.

If exercising interior the night as an occasion with an empty abdomen you will no longer have sufficient power to maintain recuperating your cardio... and could desire to even make you start up hating it! devour one 60 or ninety minutes earlier work out or devour end result 20-30 minutes earlier exercising, so which you've got greater power and revel in greater or hate much less your workouts!

I believe that it is better to eat something in the morning before you start your exercise. You do the right thing by eating something light. Good luck with your plan.
