We know better than to answer someone who wouldn't believe the truth even if it was right in front of them. Look I get that you don't believe in God. I know that may never change. But do you really think asking these questions is going to diverve me from my beliefs. I am not an idiot I've gone to college. I've studied philosophy, phschology. I 've read books about other religions other cultures, and yes I have found things in the bible that doesn't make scince to me such as why a God would free his people from slavery and tell them to enslave others? It doesn't make scince does it. I guess I believe in an idea that there is a way that is better than what we have here now. I believe in what Jesus was teaching. What better way to describe the goodness in life then God, just as all the bad is evil or the devils work. I find it hard to believe that most people can believe in hell or the devil but couldn't except the fact that a God created these things. I've know scientist who will tell you the only way to desribe all things is to put science and God together becuase there is no other way to explain it. You seem logical heres a challenge for you. Try reading what jesus taught. Not as a son of God but as a teacher of men. See if there are things that would make a better world if we followed his teachings. Try it before for judge other men for what you call illogical

You asked how Christians would live differently if there were no heaven. Enough people of faith responded with fairly logical answers, and I don't recall any lengthy Bible passages being thrown around. If that doesn't satisfy you, well, It's 5:35 in the morning. The rational Christians are asleep.

It has been pointed out recently that devout Christians consistently score lower on I.Q. exams than non-believers or some people of other faiths. Further, and I am not making this up, the more devout the lower the scores. Their religion does not teach nor accept critical, analytical, thinking.
What their religious tradition does teach is fear. The "Father of Lies" is always the smooth talking intellectual. I know they can be frustrating, but that's how the lot of them were raised, to keep their heads in the box and DARE not look out.
Such people are not even worthy of contempt. Rather, dance away from them, light on your feet, laughing, laughing.

Your "simple and obvious" questions prove the old rule that even a fool can ask a question that can stump the greatest of scholars.
If you're really seeking answers about faith, you would be much better off doing serious personal research than merely hanging around Yahoo.

For those that try to answer by using a specific religion's teachings, they can not answer logically because logic has nothing to do with what they believe.
This is not only true for Christians, but for Muslims, Taoists or any other religion.
God is...God (my name for my creator and the master of all things) My personal relationship with him can not be explained logically either but must be experienced.
Aside from telling someone to simply talk to him and that he will answer them, I have no other teachings to pass on. God will bring to you what he chooses to bring to you.

Faith does not mean - believing that a certain series of words will elicit a reliable and understandable response. It doesn't mean - believing that you will be able to cope with whatever response you do get to your words all in your own strength. It does mean - believing that the value is in service, including listening. It does mean - believing that prayer can help you gain calmness and boldness in response to anything.

"..If the star you are looking at through your telescope is distorted, does it make any sense to adjust the star?
When someone quotes scripture, is simply because they took the time, to search the book, in order to answer the question.
Take the reply, or leave it, but don't assume it's "nothing."

There are some questions that theists can't answer. I run into that all the time. That's why they hate on athiests so much. Maybe they don't agree with our answer but at least we have one that makes sense.

Please repeat one of your logical questions and I'll have a go . Perhaps you framed them in ways that suggested you didn't want answers that disagreed with you.,
