God gave us a brain and wants us to use it.

The writers of the Bible were handicapped by the knowledge know at their times and the culture they lived in.
One does not expect a 1/2 cup to hold a cups worth of water.
If the writers had the knowledge we have today and tried to write it down, they would have been laughed at. Imagine someone at the time of Moses trying to explain distant planets when they believed the earth was flat. (Didn't society at the time of Columbus have a problem with this?)
Or if the Evangelists at the time of Jesus, tried to explain Jet travel or automobiles with the little scientific knowledge they had?
That is why we are still coming into an understanding of God as God continues to reveal God's Self to us. Just because the last period has been placed in the Bible, it does not mean that God can not continue to reveal God's Self to us.
Being all powerful does not mean that one can use that power when one wants to. It depends upon the circumstance.

God Himself did not write the bible but he used to convey His messages through Jesus (who was the designated prophet from God), he used to communicate messages to masses that what is right and what is wrong and how to live in a society, what are the responsibility & rights of yours & how you have to pass your life & fulfilment of your necissities without subdual and usurpation of other rights/ auhority and place which is not yours. A transparant madate were given to Juesus by God and it is we who had noted such information, then naitons were collecting the infomation through Jesus. The actual testament or the guidance had been modified by us God did not do any thing. We could not protect and secured the actual belief or old testament and modified what we understood seems us good and did a lot of changes. The then nation will be accountable for such modification and amendments when on doomsday we will be gathered before God. And He will ask all of us that why we did so.

Man wrote the Bible. I believe that the concepts put forth are from God, but like in all things, man always has to put his own two cents worth in also. If you seek a personal realtionship with God, he alone will lead you into an understanding of who and what he is.

It is a collection of this, that, and the other. There is no way it could be made crystal clear. What would be accomplished by doing away with the old testament? And anyway, you don't really believe that stuff do you?
edit: you mean they ain't no turtle? what is holding the wrold up?

1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
THE BIBLE DOES NOT CONTRADICT ITSELF, THE BIBLE CONTRADICTS US!!!
The Bible (AKJB) means what it says and says what it means in its proper context.
Keeping a verse in its PROPER CONTEXT is a very important part of Bible study and will help to avoid much confusion.
A verse in the Bible is to be taken literally, unless the CONTEXT suggest otherwise.

Maybe becasue there is no god....maybe because some old men got bored one day and instead of just telling people how to act and behave decided to fabricate some huge story, put it on paper, hide their values and beliefs of how people should act, and then slapped a cover on it and called it a day!

Seventh Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses.
First Roman Catholic Bible was published at Rheims in 1582.
Second one published at Douay in 1609.
These called RCV version of Bible.
The Protestants regarded 7 books as ‘apocrypha’ (doubtful authority) and removed them from Bible. (The Book of Judith, The Book of Tobias, The Book of Baruch, The Buck of Esther, etc.)
Jesus pbuh said in the book of Revelation Chapter 22 Verse 18-19 ". . . If any man shall add to these things (or delete) God shall add unto him the plagues written in this Book."
On deleting 7 books from bible, the Catholics call ‘cult of Christianity’ to the Seventh Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses.

Try praying. It's more immediate and it's in real time. You have to keep on doing it. The Lord's Prayer is in Matthew 6.

Perhaps because it is written by many different people. Through the different ages.
A blueprint, like the 10 commandments, though would be nice.
