One year old, wow. Ideally kids should be older so they don't pull on the dog and stuff, stuff that scares dogs sometimes or makes them aggressive. They need to be more responsible and respectful which they normally are at a older age than 1. For the most part you're going to need to keep them apart during times, even a puppy can only take so much.

Gosh, be careful.
Are you not worried about your son being frightened by the dog? How would _you_ like to have a furry creature with sharp teeth, almost as big as you, pouncing toward you?
A lot will depend on the two little one's temperament. If the puppy is assertive, he'll come bounding in and might very well give the child the fear of this life. If the puppy is timid, it might be frightened by this strange creature that is trying to poke its face & pull its ears.
So it's difficult to give advice, except supervise, supervise, supervise. Never, ever, leave the two unattended together, not even for ONE second. Puppies have razor-sharp little teeth. Even a playful nip can cause a nasty gash in baby skin.
Good luck!

let me just say you have made a fantastic choice of breed.
They are absolutely wonderful with children due to their origins.
I also have a 1 year old and a3 year old Siberian husky.
She is fantastic with my son, very gentle.
Like some other have said, supervision is the key factor.
As she is a puppy she will be showing no signs of aggressive behaviour ( unknown to some this is a tr ate that dogs are taught not something that just happens). Aggression in husky is most definitely not a tr ate associated with the breed

make sure you are around the whole time, control the situation. dont let the dog attack the baby, and dont let the baby attack the dog. its better for them to bond, while the dog is young, so it isnt agressive towards the child. its best to have 2 people on hand when bonding the dog and child, one person can control the dog, and the other can control the child. Let the dog sniff the child, and get used to its scent, and let the child touch the dog, but now pull its fur or anything. you should be able to tell by the puppy's facial expression, whether it minds the baby or not.

Female dog might be better than male, Hopefully she will accept baby as junior family member. You have to establish dogs place in the pecking order from day one. Never never never leave them alone together until the child is a teenager.Lastly be prepared to take the dog back if there are any bad vibes at all

Really it depends on the dogs's temperment. If she is sweet or timid you shouldn't really have a problem. We had bought a dog a month or so after I was born. Your son and the dog should bond and be friends for life. Just make sure he doesn't pull on the puppy's fur or put his hand in her mouth, you should be fine

good ground rules for both the dog and your child are a must.
ihave 2 children and 2 rottweilers and we all live in harmony,i found some lessons in dog obedience worked well and along with plenty of praise when they are good and alot of love i am sure things will work out just fine.
good luck i hope it all goes well for you.

When i got my pup 3 years ago my daughter was only one,i brought a cage to toilet train him but i was also glad to use it to keep him from being pulled about as my daughter was so in ore of him.
i dint leave them together as it would be a negative thing to do,but she wouldn't even let him sleep so using the cage was very useful, also you will get alot of use from the cage (be sure to get a large one)

Huskys are great with people of all ages! All I can say is DON'T force them on each other. Just put them in the same room (with your supervision of course!) and let them "explore each other".
