personally, i like Christian hard core music. as long as it talks about God. but i want to know the things on your mind. i let a friend hear the song "move" by thousand foot krutch, and he didn't like it. he said it does not even sound like a music of a Christian band.

i just wanna know your opinion.

I'm definately not a fan of hardcore, but I also understand your position. Once I started to keep my life free of the drugs, sex, and all that, in RAP & HIP HOP. I really wanted to find rap & hip-hop with the same kind of beats and rhythms and catchy courses that I loved listening to from unholy music. I think we as christians, appreciate these genres so much more because it enables us to listen to a certain sound (me=beats, chorus, rhyming...you=drums, qutairs, maybe yelling) but we can do that without being subjected to the ungodly lyrics. Those who could care less about whether they are listening to Godly or ungodly, probably don't appreciate the fact that we can better ourselves spiritually with Christian music, and stay away from the explicit lyrics of todays music. I hope you understand?!?

I don't like hard core music. But nothing wrong with Christian Hard Core music, as long the lyrics is really talk about Christian live.
But I ever read an opinion from a theological master. He said hard core music before used by "our enemies" and he didn't agree to use it in Christian music.

some ppl just this preconceived misconception that christian music isnt christian music if it doesnt sound like oldtime boring bluegrass gospel...now granted some of those songs are good...but most sound pretty boring and are more apt to the elder generation.
i read the lyrics to " move" and i liked them.

hey ever heard of the christian band Red?
Their album is called End of Silence.

music has its own genre and when it comes to Christian music, who cares if its hardcore or not? I mean young people and teenagers alike look forward to this kind of music - these kids want something cool and exciting in their lives and we all know that the youth loves music - and the music adds to their comfort and pleasure. So, be it hardcore, pop, or rap...it definitely expresses love for God.

Amen!

Only God knows your true heart. If you allow it to become an idol and replace him he will deal with you and you should pray that he does if you really want to serve and worship him in spirit and truth.
My opinion is whatever music brings your heart closer to God is the music you should listen to.

I think as long as the message is good and Christ-like, then I believe it is okay. I love "Casting Crowns", Jeremy Camp, Newsboys. God Bless.

I don't like it but if you do that is fine by me. but I will tell you that many people don't care that its about God they just like the music. I know that years ago CREED was real big in strip joints. I'll stick to the old hymns myself.

Haven't heard that one, but Christians can make any kind of music they want, it doesn't have to "sound Christian".

God says "Love not the world neither the things that are in the world, if anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him."
