If you read the Q's & A's, you can tell there are no apparant requirements for either grammer nor spelling. I am ashamed of our schools.

fyi,i am a non-native speaker. u c...in our country we were taught to write good english, and we dont really use english to talk.and when it comes to chatting or entering a forum like this, it's a little awkward for us to change our writing habit. while u guys the native speakers are already made use of using broken english while chatting,...... hurm... we can see da difference here...

Yes, in fact I have. I quite enjoy the howlers, personally - although I do worry that without grammar people will eventually be unable to express themselves clearly. Not that most of us listen, anyway!

Ain't that the truth! Perhaps the reason is that "non-native" English speakers have to learn it from scratch. "Native" speakers don't, so become "lazy".

nah some ppl just are too lazy to use proper grammer..and some ppl use slang and computer speak. sometimes its just a pain being all proper and such. i mean i could have taken the time out and capitalized the beginning of my sentences and all that....but i just didnt feel like it.

I agree. Maybe I am getting old, but I don't understand half of the questions posted on this site.

Yes, I did noticed that, but the problem is that people are allergic to click on check spelling, or may be they think that they are perfect. Nobody is perfect.

It drives me nuts too. I often find myself wondering what's happening to America's youth. I can DEFINITELY see a "dumbing down" trend.
