i was walking on the campus at around midnight and there's a group of drunk girls hanging out there after leaving the bars or whatever. one asks me to come over and talk to her (i had never met her before). she's very friendly, touches my hand and stuff (but nothing else), seems flirty. she asks if i'm in school, i say no and tell her what i do for work, and she says "that's awesome". etc. etc.
she had to leave w/ her friends, but for future reference, i'm wondering if a girl who acts like this (who is drunk but not extremely) is looking to hook-up or is just friendly. she was pretty hot. i'm decent but not super hot. we're around the same age.

If you wanted it, you should have made the move right there and at least got her number. she is gone now and your asking us about it on the net???
Girls get tipsy and they do get "hot" like we men do. We're all humans after all. They're just better at not showing it. But, in this case she made the first move even though she was a girl and you did not go along with it-that's why this one got away. Sometimes this may not be a good idea, she and her friends could have been playing a joke. But we're men and that's the risk we gotta take, besides it would have been a fun risk.
You should have decided whether you'll go for it or not right then and there-she is HOT and TIPSY. Anyway don't let it get you down too much, there is always tomorrow. Happy Hunting.

She sounds like just a flirt who is letting the liquor control her actions but not drunk enough to be an easy lay. Girls like this are generally teases and don't go home with anyone, They find a last minute excuse to back out.
If you want a good friend, you can do better than this.
If you see her on campus tomorrow and she remembers your name, I am full of crap and I will make a copy of this answer on a piece of paper and eat it.
However I don't think I have anything to worry about.

AND OH MY,
i would of first asked for some drink, then decided that we all were going to do a run around the campus, knocking on windows. haha then we would wind up in the middle of a field, and weehay if i am a good boy i get it and so does she =]. + group of girls are way more fun,
but yes for future referance, don't be easy tease her, saying that she is waay to drunk, tell her that she is swaying from side to side. get her friend to jion in. aah the fun of it, all adds to tension. =] lol i have had times like that many a time, although usaly i'm pretty plastered.

The best advice I can give you: stay away from drunk girls (even not extremely drunk ones) especially ones you don't know. What if you did take her home and later she says you took advantage of her when she was drunk?

no no no no. this is definitely an example of "just being friendly" i know this because of several girls i know who are just really friendly, really touchy etc even with people they dont know, and they are always shocked when they act that way towards a dude and he takes it as a come-on.
bottom line: theres not enough in her actions or words to know anything about what she really was interested in. HOWEVER, that is enough for you to get her #, talk to her, and THEN see if shes really interested.
