It is mainly up to you...but if you want some sophistication with fun I have some ideas...
- sage green
--Greens are always fun and the softness of the sage green makes it less childish.
- cobalt blue
--Blues are normally calming but become vibrant when made as great as a cobalt. This type of blue - when mixed well w/proper surroundings - can be anything but dull.
- burgundy
--Reds are classicly romantic but can be done well w/good furnature. With the right type of mod furnature you can make is look young in no time while still leaving the base colour of love for when Mr/s. right comes over.0
What I would recommend is not to ask other for a colour but to find something you really like and branch from that. If you have a piece of art work you really like that could be put up in that room...go for a colour from that. You could even go off a sports team colour.
Either way, have fun and make it your own.

One very important thing everybody missed but didnt point out how much light is in the room do you have big windows or is it a dark room this is very impotant although your going all white except one wall the colour you choose will still be affected depending on how much light is in the room.....and i have been painting for a few years now love colour so what i am going to suggest is because you want sophistication i would pick something more neutral a rich cream i mean you dont want it to be real dramatic when you walk in and you didnt mention the colour of your bed i mean if its a dark timber it could blend nice or of a light colour you just choose something a bit coloufull in your cover then i would have the colours in your cushions and your pictures you hang up that way you make your things your focus not your wall colour someone suggested fabric you know if you have some fabric why dont you get someone to hold some up and stand back and get an idea ......and its a pain to repaint this way you can just change your accessories the look.......as time goes by...anyway goodluck....a good way is to have a look at some other bedrooms .....

I have to agree with one of the answers already posted. Find something you love first to dictate your colour scheme, it could be a toss cushion a painting even a favourite dress. Use this influence to pick your other items in the room, ie: flooring, bedding and window coverings. When all things are said and done pick your paint colour. It should always be the last thing that you pick because you have to ensure that your paint will go with everything in the room. If you pick your paint colour first, you may not find anything to match it.
Also, you may consider a different colour than white for your remaining walls as white will be very stark in comparison to a strong accent wall. Here are some fun sophisticated colour schemes...
White, navy and taupe
Grey and lavender
Grey and lime green
Grey and red-orange
(I find mixing grey with strong colour to be very beautifully, modern and sophisticated)
Olive or sage green and griege*
White and griege*
The list goes on and on...
Look up companies like Signoria Firenze, Yves Delorme and Matteo for inspiration.
*Griege= Grey+Beige

I just repainted my kitchen white (I live in an early 70's built apt.) and because it was so old, felt it needed something else. I used a Debbie Travis (Available at Canadian Tire) paint colour CF14L - Crazy Daisy. It's a cheerful yellow but yet light and breezy. Just enough to make a difference but not overwhelm the room. I painted my cupboards and replaced the hardware but you could use it on the wall you are looking at.
I got the idea from looking at buildings in the Bahamas...always seemed clean and crisp in yellow and white. This yellow is a beautiful shade and just right.
Check it out and I'm sure you'll love it.

There is this really cool book called 1,200 paint effects for the home decorator. by Ray Bradshaw. It has hundreds of color swatches and shows you how to make all kinds of color combinations. a dozen different ways to creat different effects. It shows you the brushes etc. that you need to use for different styles and how to keep things clean and easy.
I just did a bedroom wall that came out really nice. This type of painting is called Faux painting. I first put a layer of Chinese red on the wall. I then used plastic drop sheeting in about 4 foot strips. I painted over the red with bright orange and applied the plastic to a 4 foot strip top to bottom. don't worry about the plastic wrinkling. this is what makes it look good. you just pat the plastic into place, kind of patty cake style Oh yeah! tack it at the top. then paint your next 4 foot section. as soon as you have done that ... peel the plastic off the first section. Repeat It pulls some of the paint with it so you end up with this sort of translucent effect of red through orange and it comes out sort of golden. It really looks better than it sounds. I ended up going over it with a sponge technique in Burgandy and the wall now looks like really deep birds eye wood. I love it. If you would like to see a photo email me at Aslocran@yahoo.com and ask for the photo. Its a lot easier than it sounds. I probably only have about 3 hours into the wall. Of course you can use any color you want. These colors were suggested by a really good designer that I know. Sounded horrible. Looks great.
check out the book and good luck.

why paint? I saw a different idea on a TV recently. Hang a curtain on the wall behind the bed. You then can change the curtain whenever you feel like a change without the messy painting job each time.
Another idea is painting some blank canvas picture in the colour you like and then hang them in a pleasing arrangement.

i really like the idea of red as well, like a deep burgundy
I think that since it's a white room you definitely want to go with a dark colour to give it a balance. colours i'd go for are:
dark red
dark purple
Dark orange
different colours have been shown to incite different emotions though.
I researched this for a interior design assignment i had a little while back study has been done and the results:
yellow = makes a person more curious
blue = calm
red = emotional
pink = happy
black = sad
purple = reflective/thought inciting
so maybe you'd like to keep that in mind
have fun decorating your room!

A red accent wall could make the room very romantic and sexy.
A brown wall could add richness to the room.
A green wall would add a nice contrast to the floor and whatever furniture you buy.

Go with a blue color. Blue is very calming and what better place than in your bedroom! Of course that is my favorite color. Anyhoo...Just follow the link and pick something you will like. You have to live there, not us. Good Luck!

hmm...actually it really depends on your age and the type of person you are but if you are:
13-17-i would do it pink like a light pink or a hot pink i think it would be cute
18-25-maybe a sky blue?? you could add some dark wood furniture
25+ - i would just go with something you like but if i had to say some colors maybe a pretty red? brown?
it all really just depends
