We are running short of too many resourses without increasing our population unnessarily. It is not right to grant benefits of legal status to people that started their tenure in this country as a criminal, regardless of why they are here.

Lobbyists from the industries that benefit the most. Also, if legalized, these workers would most likely support Democratic candidates who are heavy into social programs. Therefore, the more liberal/socialistic politicians would greatly support such and endeavor to further/secure their futures.

Cmeza83-I can make up statistics too! The cold hard fact is that our jails are full of people who are here ilegally but, immigration won't deport them for misdemeanor crimes due to lack of funding.
Our resources are being used up to support ilegals that are already in our country. If we legalize them, we can tax them and take some of their money. This would also cut down on the farmers paying them under the table. Don't get me wrong, I fully disagree with granting amnesty to the ilegal folks here. I do see both sides of it, though.
hyungbin whatever- So you are saying that It's my fault that I was born American and I should be ashamed? They entered this country ilegally and that is a crime. I don't give a rat's A** that they were in danger and risked their life to come here because nobody put a gun to their head and made them come. If it was so bad in their country, why didn't they fix it? 12 million voices would have a large voice in any country but, they can't have any voice in a country they are in ilegally.

i really don't care.

what resources are we running short on?? social security is a joke nowadays anyway, and that's b/c all the baby boomers are getting old. the more the merrier i say. besides, there's too much empty space. i went to the beach about a month ago and was surprised at how some areas don't have cities and buildings everywhere. plenty of room...

then again, that's just my opinion. last time i saw an illegal was over a month ago when i went to visit my parents. they've got a couple maids and yard people.. but i'm assuming by the way you're asking the question that it may be more of an issue in your area.

In 1986 conservative Republican President Reagan pushed to have all unlawful immigrants given citizenship and the Immigrant Reform and administration Act replaced into surpassed . The consensus is this replaced into stable for the rustic so why could it no longer be stable now ? Illegals many times do the artwork that US voters purely refuse to do or take a bunch of menial jobs that pass unfilled .there is not any information that the existence of those illegals has in any way contributed to the economic/un-employment issues we face . it variety of feels to me those battling legalization are doing so from a RACIAL point of view . Your sarcastic remark appropriate to the President desirous to be advantageous to he illegals is ordinary racist communicate .in reality that's voters who could desire to thank those illegals for doing the artwork we can't do which has saved the economic gadget going extremely interior the farming / nutrients processing area .

You are right. But the government is charging them all large fines. They will claim that they can't afford these fines and there will then be some kind of protection for them to not have to pay it because they don't make enough. Then taxpayers will have to pay it. The government will get those fines either way. 11 billion times 5000. Great little extra guaranteed income for the government.

Our politicians are smoking too much crack....I agree with your statement, as well as it is not fair to the hard working immigrants who came over here the proper way. These illegals are getting health care and I am being denied....I was born here. Just wrong
How can you justify the fact that a US born citizen is denied health care and given to an illegal? And there are many others

hyungbin: Excuse me??? My parents are Irish /Scottish LEGAL immigrants who worked their asses off to get here! I went to 4yrs of college worked my whole life since age 15, and we never asked for a dime! Im stating a fact asshole, and you justify me being denied some sort of government assistance for healthcare, so that (most) illegals can come and collect welfare, breed like wildfire and sit on their asses?

it's not going to be easy. they will have to pay 5000 dollars for 8 years they have been here. and it will be offered to illegals that was here before january 1st, 2007, and they still have to go back to there country to apply to come here legally. they will have to do it the americans way or they don't stay. it's not amnesty, i think if we yell louder they will eventually ignore the illegals. lets keep up the good work fellow americans. i'm watching abc news now. we must keep yelling, and be loud about it.

How is it an increase in population if they are already here?

I applaud your quest for justice. But you got it wrong.
I think its immoral to punish those who risked everything to come here by sending them back. If they contributed to this country, did not commit crimes, they deserve to stay here.

Illegal immigrants statistically commit fewer crimes than the rest of the U.S. population.

What have you done to deserve citizenship of this country? Anything extraordinary other than being born here? These people risk their lives to get here, only to eke out a meager existence in hopes of a better life. Sounds like they deserve citizenship more than you.

They must have known what they were doing.
After sorting out the flocks of sheeps out there.
Had spotted which is all white or all brown or with patches.
They seemed right with their colours.
