It is a fine time to have her spayed. Many vets are recommending the spay to be at 18 months, especially on large breeds.

If they are alive, it's not too late and more healthy too. Many dogs are spayed later because if they are used for breeding they won't be spayed until 6-8 years old. It is totally safe as long as they are healthy. Don't do it during a heat cycle. It's dangerous because there is already a lot of blood flow in the area and can cause excessive bleeding.

It's never too late. You may also want to neuter the 10-month old. You'll be doing a lot to prevent a lot of health problems that afflict intact females AND males later in life.

No go do it. I dont think it can ever be too late, but Im not positive. I do know for sure its not too late, cuz your not suppose to get it spayed until its 1 year anyway.

No it's not too late and it sounds like a really good idea. Too many unwanted pets being put down now.
