I had the same problem and was so confused on what to do. I started buying over-the-counter products and I found that Nuetrogena Clean & Clear products seemed to work the best for me, but only for awhile because my case was slightly mild and needed something stronger. I would use one of the facial cleansers and it would work for awhile and then it would be less effective. For example, I would use the Nuetrogena foam cleanser for a couple months and it would work so well and then stop being effective and then have to switch to the Nuetrogena cream wash...you get the idea. I finally got tired of it and decided that I needed to do something else. My mom wanted me to go to the doctor, which I dread, so I decided to give ProActiv a try first. I have been using it for nearly 2 years and I absolutely love it. I only get a pimple or 2 every once in awhile. But for severe cases, sometimes going to the doctor wouldnt be such a bad idea. ProActiv worked for me, and it costs about $40 and lasts for 3 months or so, which is cheaper than the doctor. But you just need to find something that works for you. I dont know how severe your pimples are, whether they are here and there or if its severe. If its just a few here and there, I would suggest buying an over-the-counter face cleanser. Be sure to wash your face every morning and night and be sure to remove your makeup (if you wear it) because it can clog pores. You can also use a toner or on-the-spot product overnight along with your cleansing routine. Try not to mix and match facial care products from different brands. For example, dont use a Nuetrogena cleanser and a Noxema toner. It may irritate your skin by causing a rash or breaking out more. If you need to try a different brand, make sure you switch all of the facial care products over as well. If your case is mild to severe, I suggest ProActiv or seeing the doctor. Whatever you decide to do, you need to take care of your skin now. I hope this helps! Good luck!

You can try Retin A gel. (you will have to go to the doctor to get a prescription). It works wonders and clears your pores.
In the meantime, go and get a good mild cleanser like Neutrogena , an antibacterial toner from SebaMed, Sage and Comfrey BLEMISH GEL from Body shop, and Neutrogena gel sunblock.
Here are the recommended regime:
Morning:
1. Wash your face with Neutrogena cleanser. Rub in circular motion begining with the chin and move upwards. Concentrate on each area for 40 secs. Rinse off with warm water.
2. Pad dry your face. Dont rub.
3. Apply the SebaMed anti-bacteria toner with a cotton wool and wipe across the areas in quick strokes.
4. Apply Sage and Comfrey Blemish gel on the pimples only.
5. Apply Neutrogena gel sunblock spf 30.
Night
1. Wash your face with Neutrogena cleanser. Rub in circular motion begining with the chin and move upwards. Concentrate on each area for 40 secs. Rinse off with warm water.
2. Pad dry your face. Dont rub.
3. Apply the SebaMed anti-bacteria toner with a cotton wool and wipe across the areas in quick strokes.Wait 20 minutes for the face to dry completely.
4. Apply a Retin A gel on affected areas. (a pea size is enough for the entire face-do not over apply the retin A as it can cause irritation)
For first time users, use the retin a every third day for the first two weeks. then every other night for the next 4 weeks. After that you can use it everynight.
Should there be peeling during the day, use a terri cloth and lightly buff away the dead skin.( Retin A actually encourages the cells to be replaced faster.)
Do not get a facial in the meantime. It will only worsen your condition. Eat lots of fruits and drink lots of vegetables.
Avoid nuts like a plaque. And oh, do not moisturise your face. The sunblock will do that in the day. Hope this helps :)

First, get into a good skin care regiment. This entails cleansing and moisturizing on a regular basis (I recommend Mary Kay products.) Then for overnight remedies try applying a little dot of toothpaste on the infected area and let it sit all night. Or you can buy a facial mask and do the same thing. This will cause the pimple to dry out and be gone before you know it.

1st, go for a facial to cleanse your face of the impurities. even guys benefit from facials. instead of using all those fancy cleansers first. :)
