If you're overweight, eat healthy and get moving to lose the extra pounds. Lots of people that are a healthy weight though still don't look slim if they don't dress right, so get clothes that flatter you and fit well. Not tight or clingy, and not really baggy either. And dark colors work well too. And pick the same color families when picking you outfit – If you wear dark pants, wear a dark shirt, and vise versa.

Wearing striped pants and black can make you appear slimmer. You can also use make-up to make your face look thinner.
