i want to slim down my hips, thighs, lower back and lower abdomen....which exercises help, slimming down these body parts?....please help.

cardio is the only fat burning exercise - you will shed pounds of fat all over your body - there is no way we get to choose which areas to lose fat off
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

To slim down anything, you'll have to burn fat which means lots and lots of cardio such as brisk walking, running, biking, swimming, etc. Pick an activity you like and will stick to on a constant basis. In addition to cardio, you can incorporated strengthening and toning exercises to those areas such as lunges, squats, leg press at the gym, crunches, bridges.

You could do some leg presses for your thighs, and crunches work well for abs....don't do anything for your obliques though. Do alot of cardio that you like to help with weight loss to slim down.

Tae-Bo works very well for me! I like the older tapes because they work you harder and you get faster results.
