I am familiar with it. However, I find it that it treats the Bible too literally, though errantly so do many Christians.

One of the first things the Skeptics' Annotated Bible points out, for example, is the inconsistency in the two accounts of Creation. As a true sceptic and evolutionist I treat the entire story of the Genesis as a work of mythology - a story not meant to be taken literally. The order in which God creates the living creatures is inconsequential.

No, the Skeptics Annotate Bible is worthless as it makes a lot of assumptions. There are some good points to it, but most of them are thrown out in an actual debate with a educated theist.

it hurts its own credibility.

by nit picking every single point that are often irrelevant or simply incorrect it trys to gain a large number of problems with the bible.

It would be wiser if it stuck with a two dozen or so serious contradictions and problems.

it's interesting, i guess. i browsed through once, but didn;t stay long. it makes some good points, picks on some insignificant details, repeats the same stuff a lot.
i am glad to know it's there, and might visit occasionally, but it will never make it into my favorites.

Ofcourse. What an enlightening, god-busting website. Can't believe you even ask questions about it here, what fame for the website maker!

it overdoes it to the point where it discredits itself.

if i'm going to read a bible critic, i want him to at least know what the verses are talking about, you know?
