I believe it is the natural cycle and we just have to deal with it.

There is no way to stop nature. You can listen to people who will tell you the Earth will end in 50 years if you don't buy their carbon credits or the ones who think planting trees will make it all better and the temperature will return to "normal" but it won't do you a bit of good. What is the "normal" temperature? By what scientific theory are you assuming that the temperature is supposed to stay within certain parameters? What scientific theory tells you that a particular rate of temperature change is not supposed to happen? We are being told that Earth is hotter than has been in 400 years, however, the thermometer has only been around for slightly less than 300, accurate recordkeeping probable less than 100 years, figure that one out. Yes, I know, they say they have ways of determining what the temperature was long before thermometers existed, but how accurate are they? I would imagine their would be some margin of error there that we aren't being told about. A lot of this global warming hype is based on an average temperature change of less than 5 degrees. I think it is highly likely that that is well within the margin of error for these scientific estimates.
Nature has, for millions and millions of years, been doing as it pleases. The planet has been bombarded with meteors, gone through climate changes from one extreme to another on more than one occasion, and yet it still survives. Some forms of life have been able to adapt to the conditions and survive, others have become extinct. Humans are one of the most adaptable beings on the planet, so I think we have a pretty good chance of surviving for quite some time yet, unless Nature hands us a worse fate.

The eco-marxist religion is clearly agenda driven. It lacks scientific validity. It is a "belief" not fact.
One fact they have correct, the earth's mean temperature has risen 7/10s of 1 degree over the last hundred years. That is the end of their factual evidence.
There is no evidence it is human caused.
Here are two websites that contain a large compendium of valid scientific climate information.

Any time the word "BELIEF or BELIEVE" enters the conversation think "RELIGION". It is cult of epic proportion. The only way to deprogram yourself or others is with facts and understanding.
I am a lifelong student. when I first heard of "Global Warming" I recall in my environmental studies in college the "prevailing" wind was around a new Ice Age.
With certainty climate changes, and has been doing so for 4.6 billion years. Sometimes quickly sometime slowly.
Man is inherently narcissistic and our cultural shapers have found ways to manipulate this for the purpose of gaining power.
The validity of IPCC report fails based on inadequate peer review, Most of the supposed 2500 scientists involved are saying the content of the report is NOT what they recommended of even wrote.
What we can do about it? nothing. Don't believe it. Use your common sense. If there is money involved, someone's pocket will be lined.
Al Gore's is definitely one of the primary pocket liners of the ecomarxist religion.

there are some smart ppl when it comes to global warming as the other answers prove. Do we wanna stop global warming nope we cant stop a myth. we as humans are nothing but a speck on the life of the earth. mother nature contributes more to "global warming" the earth and its life forms put 99% of the these greenhouse gases and also dust into the air. and the biggest "greenhouse" item isnt even a gas or dust. Clouds and general water in the air. the gas produced by car;the burning of stuff is also what we exhale.
but this same "evil gas" is the same gas that keeps all life going. because without it all the plants and trees would die. and if the plant life on the earth dies then so would life in general. remember trees the biggest producer of oxygen need carbondioxide to exist. burning stuff in an unneeded manner is ridiculous. but if humans want to help clean the air then plant a tree maybe help illegal deforestation.

I think it can be slowed to a very slow rate. I don't believe that it can be completely stopped because there will always be greenhouse gases naturally.
I think that if
- all the cars were electric, hybrid, or biofuel
- lawns were mowed less
- less aerosols were used
- there was more recycling
- there were more restrictions on industries' pollution
- oil, coal, and gasoline were all replaced by alternative energy such as wind turbines and hydropower
global warming could be slowed down drastically. But naturally there will be greenhouse gases still.
Good Luck!

Well if you slow it down, then eventually it'll stop, and maybe even reverse in time.
If we do nothing, it keeps going up and up and up. Which we cannot afford, it's an economic nightmare for everyone.
Plus, if we slow it down, that's a huge step, HUGE, and if we have that ability now, imagine what we will be able to do in 10, 20, or 50 years. By then we may be able to stop it and reverse it, so we have stability again.
If we do nothing, then in 10 or 20 or 50 years they'll have a lot more damage to undo, which means a lot more money, and work, to clean up our mess even more, it means they may not be able to stop it, because they'll be playing catch-up.
We have to do our part, and continue to develop the right technology, then in the future it can be stopped.
So we have to do our part, so that they can do their part. We're all linked in this.
So I guess in the end, we can stop it, just not right now. Right now we need to focus on slowing it down, a lot, then we can be free to develop ways to stop it entirely.

Read this carefully~YOU CAN'T STOP, CHANGE, OR "FIX" NATURE!! It's not broke! Some people say you can slow it down, but they get money to say it. That's job preservation in the extreme because they say it but it don't mean NOTHING!! It just makes the paranoid delusion seem controllable. The scheme costs billions of dollars to keep alive and they are laughing at you all the way to the bank!

Other answers to this questions are not only stupid but also not on the point. We can not only stop global warming but also reverse it's effects. Global warming in warming of earth caused majorly by a lot of co2 in the atmosphere and greenhouse gasses. You can reverse the warming by stopping the destruction of forests, planting trees and giving them enough time to consume that co2 in the atmosphere and turn it into oxygen through photosynthesis. plants also have ability to absorb pollution and greenhouse gasses, so planting trees is the key. then, not only the planet stop becomming warmer but it will start being more normal. However, this process of planting trees and stopping the destruction of forests to reverse global warming is seemingly impossible considering that millions of acres of rainforests are being cut down in Brazil and Africa.
