I know it's the job of Dental proffesionals to save as many teeth, in as many mouths as possible. However, My upper set of teeth, are so cosmetically, and structurally disfigured from years of, shall we say "poor choices", that to be honest, I'd be very happy to have the ones that are still there removed. constant pain in the ones that aren't visible, and most of the ones you can see when I speak are either missing, broken, or black. I went to one dentist that wanted to charge me several hundred dollars per extraction. the math here boggles my mind, and over strains any dental plan out there. I appreciate any advice offerred, and hope for the best. Thanks

In great britain we have the national health service who do this and its still expensive compared to a private dentist who charges between £600 and £700 pounds for all your teeth don't you have a health plan that allows you to make a claim on getting your teeth removed and dentures fitted its still a lot of money no matter what way you do it sorry

I was quoted yesterday for just uppers be replaced for $1500. I called the oral surgeon who will be pulling them out and he charges $120 a tooth plus $400 to be put to sleep. They will put you on a payment plan, where you can pay monthly. You could try a dental school or clinic in your area. They would be cheaper. We have a place here in Mass. that advertises $699. for a full set of dentures. I guess depending on where you live you have to look around and start calling and getting prices. Good luck

it depends where u live. A friend of mine in Arizona went and got dentures, and this great dentist and his wife owned the shop, they only charged her $800 total. And get this (she didnt have to pay all up front. she got it done a year ago, and she only has to pay $160 left out of the whole bill. Just look around where you live and see if there is a deal like that. It does usually cost $50-80 to pull one tooth though. Good luck!!

do you have insurance???? an infection from a potato chip cutting my gums caused me to have all my teath pulled. i delayed it for a long time but the pain, bad breath and then illnesses like kidney infections and advice from my doctor convinced me to get dentures. my job insurance paid about 1/2 the bill. i payed $5500 out of pocket. that included all tooth extractions, aftercare, temporary dentures, permenant dentures and 90 day denture service. they do have payment plans to fit your situation. i suggest you do it, you'll feel alot better afterwards
