Be prepared for stupid answers like "It's his will, he works in mysterious ways, he does what he wants, he will come back, he will live, he will take me, he will bring Ford GT in pair of socks."

great question. let's get right to it:

why does Jesus have to be "born"? back in Exodus and Leviticus there are these huge sections called the Ten Commandments and The Law of Moses, which is the Law of G-d handed down to Israel that they might not sin against G-d. G-d showed them how to be holy like him. Well, the problem is that the law shines a light on law breakers, not law keepers. Anyone who broke a law was due for punishment. to a holy G-d the only just punishment is death, because you can never become "perfect" again. You will always be someone who broke the law. This just didn't work, because no one would ever live long enough to actually have a relationship with G-d. To get past this, G-d used sacrifices of innocent animals to cover the sins. The problem is this was temporary. Enter Jesus. Jesus had to be a man living, breathing, and walking on this Earth to live a life in perfect harmony with the law in order to become a permanent sacrifice. A person who never sinned can become the doorway that others can pass through because his blood is innocent shed for the guilty. An animal was also innocent, but animals don't have souls. They aren't not capable of becoming a permanent fix.

Ok, so why the virgin?

back in Genesis we see Adam and Eve cast out of the Garden of Eden for disobeying G-d. in this scripture we see G-d hand down punishments where he causes woman to have pain during childbirth and he curses the seed of Adam. this means everyone born from Adam and his ancestors will be born under the curse of Adam. this is why no man can ever live up tot he law. we are all born into a sinful nature. the nature of Adam, which was disobedience to G-d. By creating Christ directly in the womb of a woman, who was not cursed in this way, G-d creates someone who is not born of the seed of Adam, or any man. So it is actually IMPERATIVE that Christ be born of a virgin so that there is no doubt of his nature. If he's not born of G-d instead of born of Joseph or someone else, then he's not fit to be a sacrifice. this also allows Jesus to experience life with us, to be tempted, to be loved and betrayed, and to eventually die.

so why did G-d "need" to do it this way?

a common misconception is that G-d can do anything. that's just not true. the bible clearly tells us G-d cannot do evil. well, there's you a limitation right there. another limitation is G-d's nature. you see, he's perfect. so to maintain that perfection, he has to dole out punishment to those who break laws. perfect justice demands it. to keep that justice perfect he allowed his son to be born, live a perfect life, and die on a cross as a sacrifice. through this he creates a loop hole. we get the offer of walking through this loop hole if we so choose to. You can choose not to and take your chances. but the loop hole is always there and G-d always desires a relationship with his creation, a possibility made reality by the death of a perfect man born not of man's seed from the womb of a virgin.

Prophecy and to fulfill all righteousness.

As for prophecy, in Genesis after the fall of man it says, "And I will put enmity between you and the woman's seed. You will strike his heal but he will crush your head". So from this we know three things

1) The Messiah will come through a woman
2) The Messiah will take away the sins of the world
3) The Messiah will endure some pain in the process

As far as fulfilling all righteousness, I believe in David's writings it says that from the womb he was sinful, conceived in sin... But since Mary was a virgin her womb was the only part of her body not stained by sin, thus the conception of Christ was entirely without sin.

If you ask, why didn't God just miraculously put Christ on earth at age 33, the answer is simple............ By going through birth, Christ experiences the entire score of human life, from birth to death, from loss of loved ones, to loss of his own life.

I doubt you really care but alot of theologians refer to the idea that the male carries the "sin gene" (that's not what its called but I can't remember what it is right now) and that a immaculate conception was the only way to do this.

Yes, I know you think its stupid that's obvious in your question but the fact of the matter is God doesn't "need" anyone. He chooses to work through human beings. Why? I have no idea maybe you should ask him :-D

The virgin birth provided the bridge between God and man. Jesus walked among mankind as one of us. He needed to take on humanity in order to fulfill His mission, and Mary provided a vehicle for His human incarnation. In this way, Jesus was both human (born of woman) and divine (of heavenly origin).

Partly because it was a fulfillment of prophecy that Jesus would come in the line of david and since the jew kept good genealogical record it could tus be proven that jesus was born in the line of david through both mary and(joseph)

God does NOT need anything! It is WE, the mere mortal humans that need Him! WE needed to have a Savior who was born of a virgin as the perfect human sacrifice for cleansing the sinful nature of mankind. God's plan for our salvation was, is still, and will be a perfect plan!

Allegedly to give him "human" qualities that God could understand the human animal and men would have something "in common" with God.

Originally Jesus was going to be created from a fig tree but the fig tree turned God down. Hence, Jesus's hatred towards fig trees.
