boyfriend question?

my boyfriend is in the army and so we communicate via phone and AIM. he has always had a bit of a pre-occupation with talking about himself, but now that he is in the service, he has even more to talk about and is constantly talking about himself, what he does, and just keeps going and going. i dont expect to talk all the time, either. i just wish he would be a little more interested in what i have to say as well, instead of always making me fight to get a word in. he will not take it easy if i mention it to him, so i know not to do that. (he can get pretty angry, though not physically, in case you were wondering...) i just want to know if there is a subtle way to drop hints, or to get him more interested in what i have to say or what i did that day. any suggestions?

Maybe he should have dated himself. He seems quite selfish and boring. If you can not communicate with him without him getting angry, you might want to rethink furthering your relationship with this guy. B/c relationships are built on communication between both parties. Give and take, 50/50 is what it should be in relationship. Based upon what you wrote I dont see it.

well...i think u should act little over smart here...may be a tough way...

when he calls, tell in a tone that you are very busy, extremely busy and will call him later and hang up...but don't call back even if u are jobless...

when he calls the next time, continue to do the same...may be another 2-3 times...then he probably starts thinking, whats happening on ur part of world...i believe he will ask then and u can tell him how u feel when he has nothing else to speak other than about himself...

i understand its easy said than done, but this has worked for me with my frnd!! pain for few days is better than dis-satisfaction for a life time..so take bold decisions!!

while he is telling his tales after five mins politely in a romantic fashion ask him honey don't you wanna know what your angel is upto and whats happening round here what i feel for you how much i miss you.
say this and next word would be go ahead i don't say its full proof but boys and men can't avoid or disarm the romantic voice of a girl its one area where you can dis arm the solider to the fullest.
don't worry boys like to talk sometimes i go to talking so much with my friends that my pal slowly says we seriously have no interest in this topic you won't mind if we talk of something else

yes, even if he pauses in between his talking, stay quiet. dont ever say a word but let him know ur still on the line by letting him hear your breathing. he would have then the feeling that he overtalks. Just try!

You need to just be straightforward, but charming, and when he starts going on about himself, just clear your throat and say, 'Okay, its my turn now.' If he doesn't shut up, hang up on him. :)

He'll get the hint, and if he doesn't get it, that means he is selfish and doesn't care about you and you don't want a relationship with a guy like that.

WELL, just say Ur boyfriend to grant you one day when u r going to speak whatever is in Ur heart along with Ur complains for his talking in a descent, soft-spoken and humble voice and if he refuses to grant you that one day u will call off the relationship.... Say the last line in loud and clear words so he pays attention to Wat u r saying. on that day tell him that even u feel like sharing things with him and u want him to listen to u

send him a dear john letter and get someone who isnt so immature and selfish ,insecure,abusive and controlling,(just to name a few) why do you want to be with someone like that? nothing you can do or say to change him ,it will get worse and probably one day he will hit you,
