find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

You need to drink half your body weight in ounces of water a day. Stop all energy drinks and all sugar What else do you eat a day, you are not getting the nutrients you need. email me at newbegin@shaw.ca and subject " food plan" and I will send you one. Also what is your weight in pounds.
The article is too long to put on Yahoo. So please use a primary address if you have one.
As for not seeing the weight drop off sometimes we are building muscle which is good, so it seems like a plateau when nothing is happening, and only weigh yourself about once a week if that, and do it at the same time every day.

Be encouraged You will make it!!

You need to eat no take out. Make sure you include lots and lots of fresh fruit and vegetables in your diet. You don't need a fancy diet. Just good, fresh food.

Avoid fatty meats and processed foods. The fresher, the better.

You are at the difficult part of your changing lifestyle, where you have a hit a flat spot. Now you need to start changing the way you think about food. The more effort you put in, the better. Don't go for the easy choices, because they will be full of sugar and crap.

If in doubt, go for whatever is freshest, most closest to it's natural state, and un-processed.

You should be eating more often during the day -- if you only eat one meal a day, your body starts to hoard calories because it thinks you're starving it. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.

There are healthy options at most fast-food places, but make sure you check out the nutritionals first before ordering, because that "taco salad" might be the worst thing on the menu.

GOOD NEWS!! you are growing up!! right now you are at your "shooting age" meaning that your height will shoot up for few years. The growth hormone will burn lots of fat. Make sure to get much sleep. You grow exactly at 5 am!! DO NOT STARVE yourself. what do you eat at taco bell? go with chicken and stay away from sour cream and hard tacos. Are you a male or female? DO NOT WORRY you will lose the extra weight. The growth hormone will help you a lot.

one meal a day is not enough food and Taco Bell is Taco Hell. I would revise your diet to include fruits and veggies with low carbs.

I'm trying to lose weight too and it's sooo hard. My aunt is using a weight loss product and it's really working for her. I'm gonna try it and I recommend you try it too. Check their website at
http://www.mesayyes.info , they gave my aunt a free trial of Hoodia, a free diet guide, and a free recipe booklet. She only paid $7.99 shipping and handling.
