In Christianity, Gospels are a genre of Early Christian literature essentially concerning the message and meaning of Jesus.

"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." 2 Peter 1:20-21

Kayla, you are right on the mark: "Since when Is there a gospel of Mary?"

Being a former catholic, I understand why there are people who actually believe Mary was to have a book of her own in the Gospels. Mama church has been teaching people for years that Mary was/is equal to God himself. Some are still waiting for the pope to tell them that God is Mary. To prove my point, read some of the historical writings from the church. They claim Mary to be "our" savior. So it's no surprise that people think this. This is also why you will never hear the pope pray in Jesus name.

All it boils down to is how little people read the Bible to begin with. Instead, they allow themselves to get caught up in the follies of satan basing everything on "I think" or "I feel" or that's "good enough" or "that's not fair!"

All this stuff about Mary is nothing more than foolishness. And the Bible claims foolishness is nothing more than sin.

Learn a little history of the Bible:

. . . the Gospel of Mary communicates a vision that the world is passing away, not toward a new creation or a new world order, but toward the dissolution of an illusory chaos of suffering, death, and illegitimate domination. The Savior has come so that each soul might discover its own true spiritual nature, its "root" in the Good, and return to the place of eternal rest beyond the constraints of time, matter, and false morality.

That says enough for me. I haven't read it though. The conclusion that I draw from this is that I would have to read it to finalize any decision.

Pity me? Sorry, I pity the person who thinks the pathetic writing style is even remotely close to anything contained in the Bible. Also, what's with the "matter" this and the "matter" that. Sounds like it was written by some nature worshiping pagan. No wonder it's not included in the Bible.

Because of the few pages that there is they are not whole or very legible, they are in pieces and in some places the text and paper (or what ever they used to write on back then) are worn away. Her gospel is not complete

Mary is still kickin and happy in the bible.
She never had a Gospel.
But she is recorded in the bible.
And today, if you open the bible, turn to the back, you will find all the different scriptures and applications to Mary.

This is why...

Pistis Sophia book I
...Peter leapt forward, he said to Jesus: "My Lord, we are not able to suffer this woman who takes the opportunity from us...

Pistis Sophia book II
...Mary came forward. She said: "My Lord, my mind is understanding at all times that I should come forward at any time and give the interpretation of the words which she spoke, but I am afraid of Peter, for he threatens me and he hates our race."

The Dialogue of the Savior
Mary said, "Thus with respect to 'the wickedness of each day,' and 'the laborer is worthy of his food,' and 'the disciple resembles his teacher.'" She uttered this as a woman who had understood completely.

Peter was against the woman, that's why Peter's disciples (the Church fathers), didn't include her gospel or any scriptures written by women, and there are many.

There were many versions of Christianity in the early days, the Pauline version won out at the First Council of Nicea. Other versions, such as the Gospel of Mary, Thomas, Judas...and others, were then decreed "heresy". The heretics were forced to recant, or were executed and their writings were burned. That is why the Essenes (another version of early Christians) went to hide in the desert near the Dead Sea, and why they had to hide their scrolls in a cave.

Unfortunately, Paul was a bit of a misogynist, paternalistic, and very likely a repressed and bitter homosexual. These ideas ara rampant throughout his writings.

It wasn't popular enough, it wasn't common Christian belief - it was a Gnostic Gospel.

Also there was a Council of Nicea that decided the final cut. Word up: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Council_of_Nicaea

Because it was written hundreds of years after Mary died. It was written by people who contradict the Bible's teaching's.

Okay.. I have no clue whether or not this is entirely true. But here we go...

Catholic popes took several books out of the Bible because they didn't fit the message they wanted to convey to the people. Those Catholic guys way back when were more concerned about running a government and not about the actual good of the people.
