Let's say Palestine was Israel and they all live together. The Arab League approve the establishment of Palestine while The Jews oppose. No one listens to The Jews and The Arab League establish Palestine anyway. Palestine now get a little more than half the land against the will of Israel. You can see how The Jews would be angry with Palestine?

What if the shoe was on the other foot?

How can you expect that from the Jewish people when there is an avowed and pronounced threat from the Muslim world to annihilate the Jews? I am not a Jew, and I am not saying this because I need something from them. I don't. But let's be honest and play fair.

The problem with lslam is the fact that it is not a centralized religion. There is no central authority which can tell Muslim groups/ countries to toe the line, or else. Of course, there is the Organization of Islamic Countries. But were they able to stop Osama Bin Laden, Saddam Hussein and others from doing what they did? First establish this central authority and then perhaps Jews and Arabs can talk peace.

Peace and blessings!

You might as well ask God to wear Satan's shoes. The Palestinians were kicked out of Jordan, their proper homeland, because they were terrorists there just as they have been terrorists since then. All the Israelis ask is to be allowed to live in peace, but muslims have never allowed others to live in peace. Muslims even murder each other when they can find no one else to kill, and they blame Israel for that as well. Wake up and smell the jihad.

Putting yourself in somebody else's shoes always helps. There are a lot of Jews that don't agree with Israel just like there are Americans that don't agree with US policy. Governments like to scare ppl though....and that doesn't help.

1) if the jews had the entire rest of the middle east, without the main holy site(s) being in the lost territory, then it would be a pretty minor issue.
2) Israel covers the biggest jewish holy sites. ... the single major muslim site is like third most important, and THAT being all that signifigant is semi-debatable, and that SAME spot, being the single most holy spot for judaism... as opposed to the arguablly third holiest..
3) if the religious and other-territory-wise conditions were entirely reversed... Judaism would be much more accomodating, in large.

remember the palestinian charter specifies the eradication of the jews and israel.

You have to understand Palistinians and islam. Read 'Because They Hate' by Brigitte Gabriel. She grew up there and tells her story and why the plo does what it does. It's an eye opener to better understanding. I use to wonder about why they fight so much, but did some major research on the region. If you are able to put aside your bias, you will discover some very obvious facts. At least read this one book. It sums up a lot of what I've discovered in other sources.

The comarison might work if it was a Jewish League instead of an arab one.

The argument kind of falls flat when you have 22 Muslim states in the Arab league and one Jewish state in the entire world.

but I agree both sides need to understand the point of view of the other.

Do the palestinians actually have a point of view? Last time I saw they were shoving bombs up eachother's butts.

we're not morons. we understand perfectly well how the palestinians feel. we think its terrible the way they live - in constant poverty and with constant fighting. if you can come up with a reasonable solution to the problem that is something other than "destroy israel!" then go for it, because so far nobody else has.

Till the last nonmuslim ( Jew) embraces Islam or is killed, Palestine Arabs & all other muslims will not accept peace, nor will they allow any peace to others.

i think the jews have suffered enough. They at least deserve their own country. Leave them alone.
