Most nascar fans dislike gordon because he is a city boy and somewhat girly. They are mostly rednecks and he drives in afruity car with his rainbow warriors. Earhardt senoir did not dislike Gordon people claim that Earnhadt hated everyone, he just raced them hard and didnt take crap on the track. Off the track he was good freind s with Gordon. Earnhardt's bumping is overstated, when he started racing it was either bump someone to win the race or he would have enough money to survive. Most of Earnhardt's wrecks were because he followed people closes he was allways on ur bumper and if u slowed down od swerved u were goin to lose it. Gordon bumped people to win races, include a few races ago he tried to bump jimmie johnson to win the race. The reason why people dislike him and, as someone stated the Yankees, is because they are seen as an upper class elite. Gordon was given evreything by his parents. You dont lose fans by winning, thats the dumbest explanaiton ever.

This is in easy answer. It is because Jeff Gordon is a very good race car driver, and he wins a lot. When you win a lot of races you are going to get a lot of people to boo you, because you have just beaten their favorite driver; and they are peeved.
We do people hate him more than other drivers? Because he has past or is closing in on some of Dale Earnhardt's all-time records. There are a lot of fans out there who thought Dale was the end-all, be-all NASCAR driver. When he passed away, most of his fans became Jr fans. Jr already had a large fan base that was increased. Add in the perceived notion that Dale Earnhardt disliked Jeff Gordon, and WHAM! You have a ton of fans automatically disliked Jeff Gordon.
You will also notice that they boo Jimmie Johnson, too; but you don't hear too many Jr fans booing Tony Stewart. Why is that? Because Tony and Jr are considered to be friends.
Bottom line is don't worry about Jeff being booed. If he wasn't being booed it would mean that he isn't driving worth a lick. You really don't want that to happen.

Because he's not Dale Earnhardt, Jr. It may also be that he doesn't fit the mold as the others who have won that many races are from the Deep South. I agree with you about Dale, Sr. and Gordon. Some people may also dislike him because he is a winner.

I wondered the same thing when I saw fans throwing things at Gordon after he won a race. My son-in-law is a huge DE Jr fan so I asked him. He said it's because Gordon is not from the south. Nascar has been a southern boy sport for years and they didn't like outsiders coming in. Knowing the southern boys like I do, I believe the rationale.

I love how every time this subject comes up somebody always brings up the fact the Dale Sr. and Jeff Gordon were friends... #1, this is common knowledge to any real NASCAR fan. #2 NOBODY CARES...
Oh my, Dale Sr and Gordon were friends? WOW, now i'm going to root for Gordon! hahaha NOT.... I could care less if they were friends, partners, whatever! I don't like Gordon and I never will... Him and Dale Jr can start their own race team and I still wouldn't like the guy! So give the "oh they were friends" crap a rest cuz WE DON'T CARE...

in my view, anybody's purely jealous that he has the acceptable stats. you may observed he has a sucky racing profession yet that's purely an opinion and he has the acceptable stats of any Nextel Cup motive force at the instant racing. the only human beings to have greater championships are the King, and Dale Earnhardt Sr. Jeff Gordon is very just about on his thank you to tieing with Dale Sr. for variety of profession wins. He purely desires one greater, he could desire to of gained at Texas, Martinsville, and a few different tracks the place he finished 2d.. without Jeff Gordon, Nascar probably does no longer be the place that's at present, with all the exposure it gets, and each thing. definite, there are different super drivers purely no one like him, and he's a super motive force that each single motive force respects and each fan could desire to admire besides.

One word: Jealosy
B/c Jeff Gordon wins a lot and everyone wants their favorite to win.
It's died down over the past couple of years until he broke DE's record.

People will take any reason to hate someone or something. They hate Gordon because he wins. Look at the Yankee's, people hate the Yankee's, why, because they win. Grant it, the Yankee's are not doing that great, but people will still hate. Money is a big factor also. Look at all the money Gordon makes. That's not a reason to hate someone, but thats exactly the reason some hate him.

for me it has to do with rivalry, my family are big supporters of the Joe Gibbs boys (Stewart, Hamlin, and Yeley) and so far it seems that every race that we should have won it turns out that Gordon or Johnson have won because of a debris caution or a overheating car that should have blown up, so i don't like Gordon or Johnson because they are the main competition.

It is easier to tear down a winner than admit to being a loser. They try to say it's because he whines, or he looks funny, or whatever. But it's all really jealousy of his success and wishing their driver had the same kind of talent.
