I broke up with my boyfriend 2 weeks ago we had been together for 4 years and i thought we could be friends and he said we could, but he thinks there is something going on between me and another guy when there isnt, and he is getting really nasty. And hes been trying to cause trouble with me and some of my friends, and im scared that hes gunna try and bash this other guy and just keep trying to cause trouble for me. ive done nothing but be mature and pleasent to him, i just dont know how to stop him from being like this. It really scares me, and him family is getting in on the action too, he has told them all these lies about me, and now there being the same as him. What should i do?

suggest you either get back with him or break off contact.

Never never never never NEVER offer to stay friends with an ex. It always causes problems, whether in the near or distant future. If you are afraid of what he might do, get a restraining order, and forget about him. I know it must be hard, because you were with him for so long, but something drastic must have caused you to break up with him. Break up, and leave it.

I would just keep my distance from him. I wouldn't want anyone to get hurt.
I know you had planned to be just friends with him but I don't think that's a good idea.
Just keep yourself and your friends as far away as possible from him and just ignore the rumors. I'll bet no one believes him anyway. I'm sure they know he has an axe to grind with you so therefore ignore what he says about you.

Tell him you no longer want to be friends either. You broke off your relationship so what is going on between you and anyone else is none of his business.

You can't be friends, that's for certain.
It's crazy for ex-couples to think they can be friends.
You need to let him have a chance to move on
before you do. It's more peaceful for all if you let
him date first before you do.
Then what can he , or anyone say about it.
Nothing.

This sounds like a misguided attempt to win you back, although the tactics to which he has resorted should tell you something about his character. Ignore it.

I would just step aside and ignore everything....Tell him, he is embarrassing to be around and you should not keep your friendship. Because he will always carry on like a child.

Once you break up, move on. It's entirely too hard to remain friends. Chalk it up to experience. Move on.
