I recently went to a "Dare to Share" christian ministry conference for kids.. And Greg, the guy who spoke. really made me think.. he said " Imagine that every person you saw on the street, every person you met on the internet, and every person you came into any contact with had the words " Hell-bound" across their head. If every one of those people where screaming out your name from hell... This made me feel so guilty, that i should save them, someone has to tell them!!.. So christians, how do you feel when you think about this? What are your thoughts?

Hmm... Well, I feel the same way you do- I mean, I'm scared for people in my family, my friends, even people I don't know. You can't save everybody, but try your best, and trust that God will save them once you point them in the right direction.

I wish you luck, and to everyone in the world, and keep in mind- WWJD? (What Would Jesus Do?)

This is appalling... it's like atheists saying "Imagine everyone religious has a tattoo on their head saying 'you are a moron'!" Then they feel an obligation to go out of their way to discredit your beliefs.
At the end of the day people have different spirituality's which they all believe in strongly. It is not up to you to make people change their mind... If you look at extremist Muslims that is what the world is condemning them for, yet reality has it that Christians really are no different.
Do not judge people, it is not your place to do this... If you are believer then know if there is a God that he will judge them.
Remember just because someone is a Christian it doesn't mean they are a good person. Conversely just because someone is not a Christian does not mean they are bad.
Acceptance of all creeds and cultures is what you should be taught! Good luck!

As a Christian, I would have not paid any attention to what he said. I read in the bible years ago that followers of Jesus are supposed to be suttle. Everyone has their time to grow with Christ. Jesus didn't use scare tactics, he used love. When people see the miracles in my life that are constantly happening they start by telling me I am lucky. At that time I tell them that I am not lucky at all. I have great faith and I am not afraid to go with the flow of God's plan for my life which always brings wonderful results even when it doesn't seem that way at first. I don't preach to people. I get to know people and regardless of their belief system many have become my dear friends. Many have gained God's knowledge and many have not yet. If they don't get it by the examples in my life then they certainly are not going to get it if I start scaring them half to death. What a turn off.

I wasn't a Christian once I have been given married, and no, i did no longer. I do desire I had waited longer, as a results of fact I now and returned contemplate whether we basically went too quickly and probably ended up mutually basically as a results of fact it became handy and we've been already so in contact, etc etc. i think of if I had saved somewhat distance for a on a similar time because it could have been somewhat greater suited thought out and that i may be somewhat greater constructive of myself. I propose, we are happy and love one yet another plenty, yet now and returned i think of i might experience greater constructive that i individually had my husband's admiration if we had waited longer.

I think that you need a better pastor.

What he seems to be doing is making you feel like you have to save people, when there are none of us that can do that, God does that.

But I'll bet that he looks at James and thinks that he and Paul were preaching the same thing.

So your 'church' sounds like so many others out there that think that we can do it our way, instead of God's way.

Have you ever talked to anyone that was truly seeking after God and wasn't commited to him yet? They ask questions differently than the onne's who don't want to hear about it. God does the choosing, not us. So what we are doing by going after people who have no interest in hearing about God, and don't want to come to God is 'casting pearls before swine'.

You can tell that pastor that you are not moved to talk to people who have no interest in God, just the one's that God has been working on.

Let's face it, most people aren't chosen by God. He doesn't want them. Only the one's that the Father draws to Christ are the one's he wants.

Do what you want, but know that this guy is misleading you, and making you responsible for something you are not ordained to do.

So what are you going to do, make him happy, or do what God wants you to do? Do you care more about what that guy thinks, or what God thinks.

Weigh what I said on the Spirit of God, and what everyone else says. You'll get your answer.

We are comissioned to share the gospel with others and do get bashed for it, especially on this forum by some unbelievers, but that does not stop some of us. Like someone else said, we are to share with others and that is where our responsibility ends. This is true. We are to plant the seeds of faith and leave the watering up to the Lord. As long as you are firm in your faith and share it, no need to feel guilty about some who still choose the wrong path. You cannot force others, therefore must let them choose. The consequences lie with them. God bless your loving concern for them.

It is a sad fact. That is what I think.

Why would you feel guilty? You have no reason to feel guilty. If God has come into your heart then you should feel blessed that you have been counted worthy by the Almighty. Share His words with the lost, but never ever feel guilty for receiving the gift of salvation.

first off, why would you assume that everyone was hellbound. that's a bit extreme. didn't Jesus just try to establish a relationship with others? Guilt is not the kind of motivator you should be using to help others - it should be love. You can tell people, but don't be discouraged if they don't always listen - it can take years and years for someone to finally come to Christ or it can take a moment. it is personal for everyone

I don't feel guilty because I tell them.. I don't want them to go there unless they want to.
There are only two types of people in the world those that know Christ and those that don't..
Don't feel guilty just tell them

Christ did say in the bible when He send His 72 disciple two by two on their first evangelization. To those house that did not welcomes you, shake off the dust and go to another. I am not saying that we should not evangelization but if anyone that does not want to listen to the good news. We must go on to help those who are more willing to listen!
