The best way to lose fat is aerobic exercises, that is doing an exercise for an extended period of time which should be at least 20 minutes. This kind of exercises, whether it be running, biking, swimming should be done at a slow steady pace and for a long period of time. Also make sure your diet is allowing you to burn more calories that you intake. You will not lose muscle but you may look thinner because you cannot control where you will lose fat and your arms and chest fat make a person look like they are more muscular than they really are. You should not lose strength in your training but you should not expect to "bulk" up if you are cutting weight. Good luck.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Do your cardio regularly enough. 3 to 5 times a week. Each session of 45 minutes to an hour. Alternate briskwalking on one day and interval training on the other day.

Yes! The Atkins Diet. It's fast and therefore you don't feel discouraged.

Don't worry about the health issues - it is the best!

Stanford University recently dispelled concerns that it was unhealthy and bad for the heart.

Do you like playing games or dancing? Then try playing/dancing to the game DDR (Dance Dance Revolution). Its a good exerecise to keep you moving and can be found around most arcades or you can buy it at a local electronics/game store. good luck!

eat less and exercise.
there really isn't a better way.
building lean muscle mass is the best for your metabolism.
more veggies and lean meats, less fats & carbs, and ten pounds is easily doable within two months.

lots of cardio! and you should only lose 1-2 pounds a week, anythign more is really really unhealthy and easy to gain back.
