The film industry, silicon valley, etc. Don't deny it or try to take credit. If it were Mexican cheap labor I'd say so, but it's not true. It's the outrageously high incomes of people in the film and tech industries. They do alot of filming in California and Utah, they have alot of military stuff in the west, and California also has alot of high tech stuff. Quit trying to rewrite history just because you don't feel you fit in. You are the majority now. Show some gratitude and grace and stop being mean to the Americans.

I vote for Ohio!

I have personally known people displaced from their jobs by Mexicans and more and more check-out clerks and workers in fast-food restaurants, convenience stores and gas stations have Mexican clerks and workers instead of teenagers.

Many major stores in central Ohio have labels and directional signs for their various departments in Spanish and English; notices such as "Slippery When Wet", or Traffic Warning signs, also contain the warnings in Spanish.

A Mexican man, who couldn't speak English and had *no* driver's license, hit a school bus in Columbus with his employer's truck and killed some children, within the last couple years; recently, an accident in Columbus occurred in which the Mexican driver didn't want to wait for the police because he didn't have a license (*and* no insurance)!

A small girl who recently fell into a pond (again, in Columbus) died, because the 911 operator couldn't understand the very poor English of the Spanish-speaking caller and couldn't obtain a translator soon enough!

At least by the early 1990s, they had to make all the "Walk-Don't Walk" Pedestrian street signals in Columbus, with symbols instead of English, so that non-English-speaking people (mostly Mexicans) could understand them. Now, such signs exist in smaller cities and villages!

Most telephone numbers that have menus have "Press One For English" as the first option, "Press Two For Spanish" as the second option.

I can walk into a store of nearly any size at all, in the small cities near where I live, and in Columbus, and overhear snatches of conversation, which I can recognize well enough to know they are in Spanish!

Mexican restaurants exist in almost every city and many villages in Ohio.

Mexicans were well-established in Northwesten Ohio in the mid-1960s, when we lived there, partially due to commercial tomato processing plants like Cambell Soup and Libbey, McNeill and Libbey, and sugar-beet growers and processors.

Almost all construction companies and plant nurseries, at least in central Ohio, employ a lot of Mexican laborers!

All of them, including New Mexico, have American populations with some criminals of foreign national decent. As for Aztlan, don't worry chico, there's plenty of us ready with rifle in hand so come on along. Old oil wells are deep and few would ever look for you there :)

Have a nice day...
