Hmmm...illegal immigrant amnesty a good deal? This issue generates a lot of emotion, so let’s remove that for a moment and concentrate on the facts in just one area- healthcare.
First off, remember that a billion dollars is a one with nine zeros behind it. Nine. It’s a whole honking lot of money.
Fact: adult illegal aliens, primarily from Mexico, cost the U.S. healthcare system over 12 BILLION uncompensated dollars per year.
Fact: anchor babies, primarily the offspring of illegal aliens from Mexico, cost the U.S. healthcare system another 17 BILLION uncompensated dollars per year.
Fact: the U.S. government subsidizes Medicaid to the tune of 1 BILLION dollars a year to partially offset the losses from illegal aliens, primarily from Mexico.
This is indisputable hard data. You do not have to be a genius to see that for the naturalized U.S. citizen/taxpayer this is not a good deal. The argument that we need these people as cheap labor is ludicrous at best. Whatever paltry services they offer can be quite adequately provided by under-skilled, illiterate American workers. Want to save 30 BILLION dollars a year in fraudulent healthcare costs? Let Bubba mow your yard or fix your roof, and tell Pedro and company to take a hike. All the way back to Mexico.

It's not a deal. It's a shameful government act forced upon this nation against the peoples wishes.
Our forefathers gave us the right to bare arms to protect this country from foriegn invasion as well as corupt,too powerful government. It's long past time to take this country back as a people for the people.

Sure. A good deal for the illegal immigrants. Their gonna pay a fine of $5000. Yeah right. Not gonna happen. Business as usual. This is amnesty plain and simple.

I think that this deal might be okay but other things should be done first, they are fixing something that is going to keep falling apart, working on the solution and not the problem. the border should be closed first then deal with the ones that are here already..
some things to note :
The USA has 30000 troops on the south korea border!
Only 2000 on our border with mexico!

IT IS HORRIBLE! They should throw the bill away! It's worse than last year's pile of crap!!! These idiots in Washington are stupid and don't give a darn about anybody.
It's not just the 20+ million illegals that are here, it's the billion more that want to come.
Call every congressperson. Let the candidates know you won't vote for anyone that is for this bill. I contacted McCain's office to remind him that he should not expect to get CA because of this disaster. He is killing So. CA!

Its a bad idea. Those that are against this need to keep up the pressure on their representatives to fight this in the Senate.
