Its so annoying. I hate the sound of people smacking they're lips when they eat....it makes me cringe.

has too be my biggest pet peeve ever, i will completely stop eating if i have too hear or see someone else smacking on there grub. they say some people have problems breathing out of there nose so they eat with there mouth open. I say if you gonna sound like crap eating then you should eat in the bathroom where the crap belongs.

They are just rude. Try this - smack extremely loudly right next to them at the same time they are smacking - sometimes this gives them the hint to stop.

I wish I knew. My sister and my dad used to, and still do smack. On top of them smacking they make audible "ums" while they are doing it. I hated it when I was growing up. To this day, I have to eat alone.

But seriously, it can be annoying if the person already gets on your nerves and is talking while doing it.
Learn to ignore it, if it is not too obnoxious.

It hurts my ears. People tell me that they can't enjoy their food when chewing with mouth closed. Lame excuse! They just wanna annoy other people on PURPOSE! It makes me wanna slap the crap out of them.

They grew up way out in the hills. Listening to their inbred kinfolk eat 'showed them the way'. They are Japanese and think its cool.
Having no respect of others. They eat with hogs, and learned their traits.
