If you don't feel like going to the store and buying Carmex lip balm. Then you can try the "natural" way of healing your chapped lips by using the oil on your own skin. Rub some of the natural oil from around your nose onto your lips and see if that helps.
You could also use olive oil, or lotion on your lips.
If you get the chance though, go to the store and buy some Carmex. It's the Best!
Cheers

Neutrogena makes absolutely wonderful lip prduct. My husband and I both swear by it. Our lips tend to get really dried out in the winter, and this is the only thing that works for us. It doesn't leave your lips feeling all nasty like vaseline tends to do to mine. AND you will notice a HUGE difference the first day that you use it. It is found over in the health and beauty products! Between $2 and $3 a tube. But, again, it is worth it. You won't ever want anything else. Matter of fact, husband use to make fun of me for buying such an expensive lip product, but now he carries a tube around in his pocket.

Treat the cause, which is dehydration drinking fluids, then the symptoms with Blistex medicated lip ointment. If you are out in the sun for prolonged periods of time, get a chapstick with spf 30 to prevent sunburn.

Search Aquaphor on google. Without it, my lips get severely chapped within 5 minutes because I'm on meds.

Get a hold of some hemp seed oil from a health food store. both put it on your lips constantly, and take 1 tablespoon per day. Vaseline is made out of petroleum. I wouldn't swab that on my lips.
The hemp seed oil naturally has lots of vitamin E and Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. Very good for your skin. Tastes nicer than vaseline too (a bit nutty).

Put carmex on it...slab a nice thick layer on those lips until you can feel it tingle. Go to bed like that and leave the carmex on your lips. Do that for a couple of days and it should heal.
