If a guy tells you that they "love you" more than once are they sincere? If a guy says that they "love you" more than anyone they had ever been with is it true? Do guys just say "I love you" to a girl who is a friend and tells her that he loves her more than just a friend? What is the meaning of this? Is he in love with her?

I am 25 and he is 23. He looks deep into my eyes when saying "I Love You" and I have told him not to say it unless he truly means it. I tell him "I love him" and I told him not to tell me he loves me unless he means it and he said that he would never say it unless he truly meant it.

For me...if I tell a girl I "love her" I really do mean it...If a man says that to a woman, its either one of two things....either...
1.They really do love the woman.
or
2.They just want the woman to believe that so they wont lose her.
If a man does number 2, they are a jerk and shouldnt even be dating.

I doubt that guys just tell girls that they love them. I as a guy, love only one girl, and more than anything else in the world. So, I would be sincere in my saying that. But I can't be sure about other guys. I think it might depend on the person. Some guys are jerks and will say it just to get the girl, some guys will say it when they think they love a girl, some guys might make sure that they are completely in love with a girl before telling them. I don't know. I'm gonna go with it varies between guys. The fact that he's repeated it means he probably means it but you're the only person who can tell for sure... besides him.

ive known some men who said i love you to me, even though he has a wife, well i guess some men dont really know the true meaning of the word i love you , but some men are somewhat sincere with their feelings, i guess ( for me it worked) to see if a guy is really telling the truth, look him in the eyes, if he says i love you and he looks straight into your eyes, he might be telling the truth....

Sorry to say, it depends on the guy. Many guys use the word "love" as a way to get into a woman's pants or when it suits his needs.
But some guys (myself included) mean it when they say it.
The number of times he says it doesn't make it more or less true. Consider the character of the guy and go with your gut.

The guy before me is right, actions do speak louder. I think it depends on age. If he's a little older chances are he's been through the bull and could genuinely be in love with you. I bet you have a gut feeling on if he is or not, just follow that.

I guess it depends on the prerson saying it, but guys do lie alot but if he shows that he loves u then i would say he's telling the truth.
