The bible should be taken as seriously as any other comic book

I would dispute the many, many contradictions in the Bible. Most are contrarities, and are usually resolved with a little common sense.
Nevertheless, the Bible was certainly the product of fallible man. It is not the Word of God, it was not written by God, and it is not God's revelation to man. The idea that the Bible is the Logos of God is blasphemous (Jesus is the Word of God). The idea that the Bible was written by God denies the fundamental Christian doctrine of the inspiration of Scripture. And the idea that the Bible is God's revelation to man is nothing short of heresy according to traditional theology.

Of course man wrote it. Most Christians believe it is the inspired word of God, but of course at the time it was written in the languages of the time.
When translated to other languages there is of course the potential for some grammatical and other errors.

I am STILL waiting for someone to list some of those supposed "many, many contradictions". A few have tried, but they have turned out to be nothing more than a few verses deliberately pulled out of context.

Please give some sort of flimsy evidence to give your flimsy attack some flimsy support!

Why is it that atheists feel they have to shove their beliefs down our throats constantly? I thought that's one of the things you supposedly hate about Christians????

Ask yahoo for an Atheist Q&A board so you can all pat each other on the back for being so darn smart.
