I've often thought of moving to British Columbia permanently. How do you become a Canadian citizen?

First step is to apply for a Visa and/or Immigration. This process will take you 1-3+ years and cost around $1,200 in fees and associated costs.

All the application forms, information and instructions are available on the Official Canadian Immigration website:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/

Most likely you would be applying as a skilled worker, you can do a self-assessment from the Skilled Worker part of the website to see if you qualify.

Other classes of immigration include being sponsored by a family member, or by an employer. There are special rules for spouses and conjugal partners.

You can learn all you need to know on the website above. If you have more questions, feel free to contact me via my 360 page linked on profile.

You need to reside in Canada at least 5 years to become a citizen. To immigrate I'd contact www.canada.gc.ca and look for immigration.
