This bill sucks and it basically says "It's okay to break our laws, plus we'll even put you at the front of the line to get citizenship for doing so!"
I agree, socialists are helping to destroy this country, along with our great tradition of individual responsibility & capitalism!

The socialists? You mean the Democrats? The ones that worked behind closed doors with the Republicans to form this bill? Funny, it's clear in every news report I've seen today that it was a bipartisan effort and President Bush LOVES it. So explain to us again how it's the "socialists'" (rolling eyes) fault.

Key senators in BOTH parties and the White House announced agreement Thursday on an immigration overhaul...
The compromise came after weeks of painstaking closed-door negotiations that brought the most liberal Democrats and the most conservative Republicans together with President Bush's Cabinet officers to produce a highly complex measure that carries heavy political consequences.
Bush called it "a much-needed solution to the problem of illegal immigration in this country" and said, if approved, the proposal "delivers an immigration system that is secure, productive, orderly and fair."
"With this bipartisan agreement, I am confident leaders in Washington can have a serious, civil and conclusive debate so I can sign comprehensive reform into law this year," he said in a written statement Thursday.

Nothing Ted Kennedy touches is any good for this nation.
I'm from South Boston Massachusetts and of Irish Catholic descent and the Kennedys are sheer poison.
You have no clue how much Ted Kennedy is despised in Boston.

Kennedy needs to join his brothers, He killed his pregnant girlfriend at Chappaquiddick bridge and then paid off her parents not to go after him, He's lower than whale **** and that's at the bottom of the ocean........Nuf Said

well with something like 8-13 yrs to get citizenship if it passes tomorrow you got nearly 2 presidents to reverse course. I think making an infinite (ok i exaggerated very long) path works for just about everyone.
