find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Actually, you're not overweight. Your Body Mass Index, the height-to-weight ratio used by the USDA, is 23.4, which is well within the normal range. Of course, this can vary depending on your bone structure, but it seems you are doing just fine.
Keep in mind, though, that you are just at the beginning of your teen years, and that you will be going through a lot of hormonal changes that could completely change your metabolism. Therefore, even if you don't have weight problems now, it's still important to develop healthy eating habits that will last you a lifetime and keep you looking and feeling great.
I'd suggest taking a look at the revised food pyramid (http://www.mypyramid.gov) where you can interactively calculate how much of what sort of foods you ought to be eating.
You can keep track of your BMI by calculating it at http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/
And if you are concerned about the way your body looks, perhaps you should try building some muscle. No matter what your weight, getting enough excercise and being healthy and strong will make you look great. If you don't do active things as a hobby like sports, then you could try incorporating some simple exercises, like crunches or yoga, into your daily routine, focusing on the areas of your body that you would like to change the look of. As long as you're healthy and happy, then there is nothing wrong with you at all!

Hey, I don't know if you are overweight or fat....It doesn't matter if you are what matters is that you feel good about yourself and are healthy. If you think that you have a couple of problem areas then it's good that you are thinking of working on them. You should look into a height/weight chart to see what your weight zone should be. Well, anyways if you find out you are a few lbs over what your weight should be trying doing this: alternate between chicken, tuna, salads, oatmeal, cream of wheat, salmon, and cereal for meals. They are all good for you and don't have that much fat in it and some have protein so they are good for you. I have been on the tuna diet and have lost 10 lbs in one week. Well it's mostly b/c I have been in college and haven't really had much time to eat and have been a bit stressed out. I have been eating tuna because it's just fast and easy to prepare and isn't fattening like fast food. I have been exercising also to destress and I have been alternating the 8-minute abs video and the pilates video. I hope I can keep it going so far I have lost 60 lbs altogether but I was over my adequate weight. You probably dont need to loose no where near that much. But that is what I have been doing I hope it helps. Good luck.
