Have a shower, pack your bag for school, pack your lunch, put your washing out, lay out your clothes for the next day and iron them if necessary.
You could ask your mum if there is anything you can do to help her, do the dishes, put a load of washing on or help fold the washing. You could try revising what you have learnt at school that day.
You could start a diary and sit down and write all of your thoughts and feelings about things in it.
You could pick up a book and start reading (My personal favourite pass time!!)
You could ask mum to help you bake some cookies, or a cake, or ask her to teach you how to make a home made cake from scratch, or how to make a jam or pickles etc.
There are sooo many things that you could be doing - give some of these ideas a go, and you will find your self occupied, and you might even be making someone else happy, and proud of you at the same time. I know I am always proud of my daughters (9 & 12), when I see them reading a book, or when they come to me to say that they are putting a load of washing on and they ask me if I have something that needs to be washed. :-)

How old are you? Why don't you get some crafts supplies and get creative. Make your own jewelery with beads. Lots of patterns on internet for crafts. Write a letter to a friend. You know how fun it is to get real mail. Write a thank you note for fun and surprise the heck out of someone. Paint youyr toenails. Draw. Do your homework. Make sure you know all of your math drills really fast. Wash your hair and braid it.
Make scribble pictures. Write a song or poem.
Call your Grandma. Read a magazine. Read a book.
Ask your mom what she did when she was your age.
Plant something. Look up some huge words you don't know in the dictionary and use them tomorrow at school. Are you having a phenominal day? Oh yes, indubitably!

You could play a dashing game of chess with your good old mother, Or you could play monopoly, sorry, battleship, or just reminisce about her school yard memories. She could teach you how to play poker or gin or something to that effect I'm sure you guys would have a smashing time.
