if you're talking about mathmatical signs, like theta, pi, etc, then microsoft word has the ability to insert symbols. As I am using the 2007 version of all microsoft applications, the 'symbols' button is located in the main toolbar across the top of the page, under "insert" and then the last option in the new bar it opens up.

Word 2003 is almost exactly the same.

what do you mean by sign?

for american sign language you can go to aslpro.com

click on main dictionary and find the word and a person will show you how do make the sign
