Is it a toxicologist, or is there a better name for someone who specialises in this field?

Cattbarf - thanks - do you know what a more appropriate name would be for someone who creates / researches poisons?

Not too many toxicologist are in the business of creating poisons. This is the name for a person in the general study, although there are specialties in the field.

i think it's "toxicologist" because my immunology teacher would always refer to this professionals by that name.
