Go to donotcall.gov and put your number on the National Do Not Call Registry believe me this does work. I use to get dozens of calls per week, now none. But it will stop other type calls also not just loans. Check it out. GOOD LUCK

Contact the following Government agency. Takes 30 days to go into effect.

National Do Not Call Registry
Offers registration for consumers to stop telemarketers from calling. (United States, for-profit commercial calls only).

www.donotcall.gov/

Keep in mind though if any of these lenders are banks you have any association with (i.e, bank account, CD's, etc...) they are exempt from this do not call registry list.

The National Do Not Call List! It is found online. After you regester it will take about 30 days but they will stop and if they don't you can report them the the same registry and they will start incurring heavy fines. Good luck!

Besides the do not call registry, there is a specific way to opt out of "pre-screened" offers. The next time you get one in the mail, open it up and the fine print (usually at the very end) will tell you how to opt out of them.

you have to look up the (do not call form) on the net in your state so say your in NY type in nysdonotcall that should bring you to the governors website where you add your phone number to the list for any telemarketers list. And if they keep calling you report the number they are calling from and they will be seriously fined.
they are so annoying and I hear you on that as I report them and never hear from them again. hehe :0)

Sure, it's annoying until you stop trying to avoid it and START having some fun:

After dozens of calls I finally answered by saying:

"Thanks VERY MUCH for calling. I could sure use your help. I had to FILE FOR BANKRUPTCY last month and then the police have been giving me a hard time for using a fictitious name. Right now four of the people I owed money to are suing me in Civil court. My lawyer threatens to leave me unless I give him part of his fee, $10,000,so if you can lend me $10,00 right away, just tell me where to sign. I'll sign anything.I can give you any one of four signatures that I have been using.(end by giving a little wild laugh) and say, "After all what have I got to lose?

Guess what? One by one they stopped calling until NOBODY CALLED. Neat, huh?

You can go to the federal do not call list registry and sign up.Then you pick up the phone every time they call and tell them that you have signed up for it and if they keep calling they will get sued...It was miracles with me!

Yep, get on the do not call list, this is a new program, and I love it, ever since I've been on it no more calls, you'll have to call information to find the number in your area. And they can not call you, if they do you can have them fined !!!!!!
