well if u want you can take like a fat burner like hydroxcutt. Also when doing cardio or any exercise you cant really pin point where to lose the fat, you will lose a little bit from everywhere.
Also if you wanna lift weight stick to lighter weights, with higher reps to tone up and tighten up your chest, don't lift heavy sets because you will bulk up.
Other than lifting a great exercise is swimming, or anykind of water aerobics, or running in the water in the shallow end, its great for people with bad legs and can't run, resistance training underwater is the way to go, not only will you lose your weight you will probably be in the best shape of your life.
good luck bro!

It will build muscle under the fat.
Maybe you can do a rotation exercises not using your knee like pushups, pullups, situps, dips, toe-touches, etc etc in addition to curls, bench pressing and other weight exercises.
Keep moving as much as you can that doesn't hurt like your knee for 30-40 minutes at least 3-4 times a week.
Diet is critical too if you want to reduce fat.

You can not "spot" reduce. To lose the fat you need to burn more calories that you take in. If you are unable exercise due to your knee injury have you thought about aerobics in a pool. Weight lifting will help in the fact that the new muscles will help burn a few more calories but you need to get your heart rate up for optimized fat burning.

it will build muscle under the fat. you may have some weight loss b/c youre burning calories during youre lifting sessions, but this is where diet and cardio come in to play. cardio will shed that excess weight and youll see almost double the results and even better if you are eating well. men are funny about doing cardio sometimes but plenty of my old trainer friends(male) were doing at least an hour every day.

You can do cardio with your arms. Turn a bicycle or exercise bike on it's back and start pedaling with your hands. Believe me, it will work. It worked for me when I had a running injury and couldn't run for several months.
Fat is fat and muscle is muscle. Fat won't turn into muscle and vice versa. Cardio workout will help melt the fat away.
Fat accumulates when one does not use up the calories that are consumed.

Try lifting yourself off the chair and into it again with your arms and use weights. Do lots of situps at one time and that will get your heart pumping.
It will build muscle under fat at first, but keep on and it will start to fall off.

Fat and muscle are two completely different cell structures. You cannot turn fat into muscle. HOWEVER, fat will burn off as your muscle builds. Fat is burned as a fuel, if you aren't feeding too much fuel into your body. To build tone to your muscle, low weight, high reps. To build muscle mass, high weight, low reps.

Fat cannot become muscle. You will build muscle on your chest but you will need to diet and exercise to get rid of the fat. Fat cells do NOT go away, they just get smaller.
