My daughter lost one box (10 pills) of her Accutane prescription. Our co-pay was only $5 for 30 pills. Does anyone know if the doctor will prescribe her what she lost and if we will have to pay full price for it? I will be asking myself but I'm interested in finding out now. Thansks.

Doctors will usually rewrite prescriptions if the medication is lost, but I am not sure about prescriptions for Accutane because of all the restrictions. The problem you will have is getting the prescription okayed through iPledge. After that, your insurance will probably require the pharmacy to call for an early fill override. Most insurances allow one or two early fill overrides each year.

The doctor might right a new prescription, but it won't matter, the insurance will say that she picked it up and not let it go through for $5. You need to call the insurance and explain to them what happened, ussually they allow you to lose them once a year and will fill the remainer of the prescription (not all 30) for $5. But keep in mind, not all of them do it that way.

the dr must rewrite / call it in or fax another scrib.. yes u have to pay again.. not the insurances fault she lost it. If this was the case to ge tit free then there would be a lot more fraud going on ..
