How old is the child?
When we go away for a short weekend and have a babysitter stay with them, YES, I feel guilty when I am sitting there at dinner and wondering what they are doing.
I call almost every half hour to see what they are doing, how they are, tell them I love them and so on.
I think we did it twice, and now they come with us everywhere.

Yes, very much so. I stayed home with my daughter for the first 3 years of her life but I have to work now. I also have a 6 month old and I regret not being able to be home with him like I was with his sister.
If money was not the issue I would stay home with my kids. At least my job is close to home and I can come home for lunch to see them.

Not really. She's 16 and she leaves me at home alone all the time. So does the 15 year old. The 12 year old not so much. And the 2 year old does not leave Mommy's side.
