This guy asked me out three times last semester. I said no each time and told him, "I have no interest in dating period." This last semester (college, he was in a class of mine), he tried to do "gallant" little things for me, which I ignored and found extremely annoying. I never smiled at him, looked at him, or acknowledged him. I was never mean to him because I don't think it's good to repay interest with meanness, but I couldn't see why he didn't take "I have no interest in dating period" and figure out what it meant. It means: I am NOT going to date you. Well, he got my phone number and started calling me. I ignored every call. I was out for an operation at one point and he actually made me a card, which he drew in. I never acknowledged any of this. I thought that would give him the hint. Well, today I have two messages from him on Facebook. I just deleted them, but I'm wondering if I need to tell him straight up that I want him to stop instead of just ignoring him. What should Ido?

just because you're not interested in dating him doesn't mean you can't talk to him

This sounds to me like if you don't talk openly about your position with this guy, I'm afraid he will not let you in peace.
Some guys tend to pursue their object: the women.
When you told him of your indirect position he just assume he just have to try harder to make you change your mind.
They will keep trying to win your heart cause you haven't told him to quit bugging you!
I went through the same two times!
The guy kept asking me to date him a lot of times and I accepted(warning this was the worst mistake, of course I did learn) when I didn't wanted to be with him anymore he harass me! He was the worst!!
The other guy: I had to tell him, I just told him in his face(if the guy is of a little time known and his mature is ok to do the following): You are a great guy but your are not my type of guy.
He will obviously catch in!
Now I suggest you let him know politely!
Or you can try to find him a girl that can seem to hook up good with him!
And if that doesn't work try to avoid his calls and everything related to him!

This guy's not good at taking hints. He interprets them to mean that you're not sure if you want to date him.
Time to take off the gloves. Tell him that you're not going to date him. Ever. Period.
Tell him that if he bothers you again, you'll report him for harassment.
Be rude if necessary.

oh yeah....he is either one of two types of guys, he is either a guy who takes your rejectoin as a challenge or thinks you are just playing hard to get...or he is truly just dense like some people can be...either way the only way to get him to stop is to be a little mean, or maybe not even mean, you could probably just embarass him a little bit by publicly rejecting him in a nice way..either way you have to be blunt with that type of person

This dude seems way to into you. I'd go ahead and let him know that you appriciate the nice things you did for me but I am not going to date you. Hell I don't even really know how to answer that.....man I give up.

Why wait until it gets out of hand. Stick him with a restraining order. I would prepare myself anyway, start carrying mace or a stun gun.
