This is not meant to be an offensive question, but an honest one. This doesn't in any way reflect my belief, but it's something I've wondered. I've heard people say that they would have to choose one sex or the other, and marry the opposite, but then that raises the question...So if I change my sex, can I marry the sex I want to be with? All opinions welcome. Please keep it mature, as so am I. This is an honest question.

This question is a lot deeper than some might take it for. It reveals deep truths about prejudices.

Basically, 60 years ago, the question would have been "Can a mixed race person ONLY marry someone who is mixed race?"

Good luck getting genuine answers, but keep asking these kind of questions! My answer is: "the one they love."

The Bible would not call homosexuality an abomination, it calls having sex with male temple prostitutes (a prepare of the religions of alternative gods) an abomination. The sin is having different gods in the previous Yahweh. Nowhere does both testomony condemn the state of being gay. yet i recognize the Christian copout that it truly is no longer Leviticus they're following, yet passages from the hot testomony. The NT prohibitions are grounded in Leviticus, so that are condemning homosexuality in accordance with a false impression of Leviticus, then ignoring the different better than six hundred commandments that they don't love. Bur, considering that Christianity as we talk is Salad Bar Christianity (even Catholicism - in simple terms look on the hot "sins" that the Pope invented), what else can absolutely everyone assume. The Bible isn't a e book to stay by technique of, it truly is a e book used to justify doing what human beings want to do.

The problem is where it states homosexuality is bad is also where it states shellfish, picking up sticks on Saturday, shaving your head or beard, wearing clothing made of two different textiles, mongst other things was a hell worthy offense. Also it's not a sin for two women to be together, exept in Judaism where it's a minor sin.

Now assuming I am just sticking to yourquestion qualifications, hermaphrodites usually favor one sex or the other. If they don't then if they made a choice and then decided against it I guess it would be a sin. Of course that is speaking in absolutes so it's not truely an answer.

The key to this question is the word 'practicing'.

The sin is in the performing of a sexual activity outside the boundaries of a marriage. A marriage is defined as a covenant bond between one man and one woman.

So, homosexuals, heterosexuals and even hermaphrodites who do not perform sexual acts are free from that sin, but anyone who does such things bear that guilt. Even the married ones who have sex with someone they are not married to would be guilty of that sin.

As to whom a hermaphrodite would marry, well, generally persons with that condition exhibit female characteristics predominantly, and they are usually more comfortable being raised and living in the female role.

With that, I will make a supposition.

I would figure that if this person is behaving and living as a woman, and they find a man who does not mind the unusual physical configuration and they agree to marry in openness and honesty (between the couple - this does not concern anyone else), then they should be OK and can enjoy physical sexual satisfaction just like any other married couple.

The Bible itself is silent on this matter. It is truly a guess on my part. Any couple finding themselves in a situation like this should probably consult a Church Elder for advice, but only God knows the answer. He is known to be a forgiving God.

Why do you assume hermaphrodites are homosexuals? Do you know any personally? Of course they can marry. They are referred to as "eunuchs" in the Bible. If they have even one Y chromosome, they are a male, no matter what their genitalia look like on the outside. The same is expected of them as the rest of us re: sex and participation in God's kingdom. examples:

Issiah 56:3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I [am] a dry tree.

Jeremiah 52:25 He took also out of the city an eunuch, which had the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king's person, which were found in the city; and the principal scribe of the host, who mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city.

The eunuch here was a leader of warriors. Not a bad thing to be at all in Biblical days.

They don't get special privileges when it comes to sinning, though. But we are all sinners and need to come to repentance.

They are also usually sterile, and lets not forget that sex was meant for procreation.

It has never been about specific sins. People need to get that out of their minds. Christianity is about trusting God for what he said. It's never been about our ability to live by the Law that you are quoting. The Law that you are quoting from condemns everyone. Remember that Jesus had a problem with the Pharisees? It was the Pharisees who thought that they were living according to the Law, and would judge others because they didn't measure up the way they thought they should.

So what is this grace that God has delievered those who trust him for? It means that there is nothing to take those who trust him away so that we can obtain the grace of God because we believe him when he says something. Homosexuality then is nothing. It might distract us from our dedication for a time, but God chastens those he loves. He gets their attention back. If death is nothing, as we will also be resurrected, then so are the things of life, but only if we trust God.

hermaphrodites are extremely rare cases. most people called hermaphrodites are kleinfelters, where you have a guy with female sex hormones. not homo, but he gets some girl's pubic effects. you have to have both sexual organs to be a hemraphrodite.

my guess is no one. why? just because they're in a bad situation and most don't have working organs anyway. I'm not trying to be discriminatory, I just don't know and am saying my guess.

One more reason why keeping people who love each other from marrying is ridiculous.

Note how the homophobes are downplaying your question with "they are rare" and "there will be a dominant gender." How typical.

Anyone who would want them. There is probably one predominate sex in the person anyway.
