overall weight loss
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

You can do all the crunches you want, and not lose any of that extra padding if you don't eat properly. Your body will only burn off the carbs in your system from your last meal, especially if it was less then four hours ago that you ate it. If you're really serious about losing that flabbage you speak of, check out this site, I got the book a few years ago and it really does as it says. It's really common sense to anyone who knows a little bit about how the body works. It's hard work at first but the energy you get as the first two weeks go by, you will be amazed. Trust me.

Well, first off you need to get on a balanced diet, none of that Atkins crap.
What i found works, is eat big during the day, while your active, and eat smaller things at night. You see, dinner being at night is bad, because you usually don't do anything at night, so you cant burn it off.
Secondly, find a workout plan that fits you, don't push yourself to hard, or you wont be motivated to work out, and you will fall into the same cycle your in now.
Finally, if you want something, HAVE IT! Don't count carbs, it tempts you and eventually even the strongest willed person will crack under that.
I hope i could be of help!
