No, I do not agree. Racing is a sport. Some people think you have to be running around with a ball or something.
Me, I personally can't stand basketball. But that's my taste's.
I was born with a passion for car's. When I was 11 yrs. old I was lucky enough to watch the first televised Daytona 500 in 1979. It changed my life forever.
Racing is the only 'sport' that excites me. From Nascar all the way down to blasting through the woods on a 4-wheeler.

Ok, I'll bite. Like the Busch commercial says "There are some that say NASCAR isn't a Sport; and their right; It's a lifestyle".

Race Fans and Car People love cars, love speed, and love to throw a party. So we're not a stick and ball sport; so what. It is a lifestyle being a NASCAR Fan; and it is one I love.

Having been to many different kinds of sporting events and there is no event I like going to more then a NASCAR Race.

With NASCAR you either love it or hate. But, it would be nice if people like you would be a bit more respectful when questioning our lifestyle. And to the NASCAR Nation, be a bit nicer with the Person. Just because he is rude doesn't mean we need to be.

You could call Nascar a game. Since the definition of game is "A way of amusing oneself." I guess the drivers are out there to amuse themselves and not to win. Of course Nascar is a sport! It's as much a sport as gymnastics, swimming, boxing, diving, skiiing, horse racing, etc. All sports don't require a ball.

If you think it isn't a sport then don't watch. These guy have to stay in shape and hydrate before they get into the cars. It gets up to 150 degrees in the car and most drivers lose 5 to 10 pounds in every race they don't get to stop and take a break to use the bathroom, there is no halftime its just constant driving in upwards of 150 miles per hour the only time they to slow down is when they make a pit stop and that only takes 16 seconds so to say it isn't a sport shows how ignorant you can be

I like Nascar it`s exciting to watch as they adjust to the tracks changing , the skill of the side by side racing cool to see them draft in tracks like Dega and Daytona and the sounds of the engines as they race by in a pack of 43 cars going close to 200 mph.
I used to be a hockey fan but NHL changed the rules to many penalties soon in hockey if someone breaks wind up in the cheap seats the ref will throw his arm up and call a penalty for interferance.
Nascar is one of the biggest sports going where else can you see 160,000 & up at one event .

Well let's see they don't get speeding tickets from the cops even though they drive close to 200mph.It must be a sport.By the way the question asked more often is are the drivers athletes. To which I say try driving 500 miles at those speeds in those tempatures with 42 other cars trying to take your space on the track for four hours and then let me know.

Nascar is more than just a bunch of cars going around the track. It's speed, it's nostalgia, it's loyalty,it's a party, it's ADRENALINE.
Raising your "argument" makes you look like Al Sharpton in the Imus scandal.
