My friend has this problem and would like to know what to do. We think that he likes her and she wants to be sure.

your friend is just asking to be used and hurt. I'm 45 and can say with all certainty that the relationship would not be a healthy one, based on trust and equality.

Your friend should not be trying get a 40 year old to notice her or even guys in general. If he likes you he will show it. She will get more respect.

ok first off no one believes that this is about your friend. What you need to consider is that you are about 15 years away from your sexual prime. that will make this guy useless to you in about 10 years. do the math sweetheart. You'll end up doing the pool boy while your husband is drooling and shitting his pants. After you're done with the poolboy you don't wanna have to go change a diaper.

Just be yourself. Trying to catch an older guy's attention is the same as getting a guy who's your age's attention.

My boyfriend is 15 years older than I am and he fell for me when I was just being myself; I didn't change anything, and just talked to him and joked around like him as if he was my age, since he was my friend first.

If he's 40, and she's 17 then odds are he already has.

Leave the guy alone your going to get him in trouble. Kids like your friend are what make perverts out of decent men.

if the guy is sensible he will notice but not do anything --- your friend is a tad young for anyone over 20 --- wait a few years --- best wishes -- i have nothing against the age gap --- my lady is MUCH younger than i am -- she is over 20 though

40 year old guys should not be with 17 year old girls. That's just sick!

Obviously this is an inappropriate realtionship to pursue.

Tell your friend to imagine being married to him in 30 years when he's in his seventies and she's in her forties in the prime of her life.
